Ok, Liverpool & Man Utd are out of the way and the next 7 games come thick and fast to the end of the year by which time we will have played everyone once, including 5 of the top 7 away from home. On paper, at least, we have a slightly easier run coming. Iâve given each game a difficulty rating (âeasyâ=1, âvery toughâ=5) and an optimistic and pessimistic points tally for each game. Swansea v. Aston Villa Potentially a tricky game - Villa are stuck in no mans land between top 7 and the âothersâ. Agbonlahor can do damage. Difficulty = 3, optimistic 3 pt, pessimistic 1 pt Blackburn v. Swansea Really not a game we should contemplate losing. Difficulty = 2, optimistic 3 pt, pessimistic 1 pt Swansea v. Fulham Got to be looking for 3 points here, but Fulham have some decent players up front in Johnson, Dempsey & Zamora Difficulty = 2, optimistic 3 pt, pessimistic 1 pt Newcastle v. Swansea Always hard going to St. James Park, but having done the trip a couple of seasons ago may help. Difficulty = 4, optimistic 1 pt, pessimistic 0 pt Everton v. Swansea Everton just beginning to grind out some results - should be a close game. Difficulty = 3, optimistic 1, pessimistic 0 Swansea v. QPR QPR currently doing the best of the 3 promoted sides but I think we can sneak this on the Boxing Day fixture. Difficulty = 3, optimistic 3, pessimistic 1 Swansea v. Tottenham I can see Spurs finishing third this season behind the two Manchester clubs so I donât expect much from this game. Difficulty = 4, optimistic 1, pessimistic 0 Results I make that optimistic - 15 points, pessimistic - 4 points, with probably the truth lying in the middle = 10 points. That will give us 23 points from the first half of the season. Will it be good enough?
I will settle for 10 /11 points points, I think we can go to Blackburn and win and get wins at home from Everton and Fulham.
