Best of luck to him if he does go to WBA. He was awful for us, a complete failure, but his spells at Newcastle and Brum suggest that maybe somewhere there is a good manager in there. The West Brom fans will have to come to terms with deadly football, though.
Agree carrabuh, everything that we took so long to build came crashing down under his reign. He might be a 'nice man', but I can't forgive him for his incompetence.
I wouldn't say he was a complete failure but safe to say it didn't quite work out for him here. If he goes to West Brom I hope he has better luck with them.
Hope he gets the job and takes them down, dullest atmosphere going will probably suit the dull football hughton loves
so hughton could be a premier league manager next season after all. his football might not have made people happy but he must have been doing something right... west brom is a bloody tough gig next season though with so much going on behind the scenes and players out of contract etc. it'll take a brave man to go there imo. they are my tip to go down regardless of who they bring in.
He can't be totally incompetent - look at his record at Newcastle and Brum - but he certainly looked that way at Carrow Road. Who knows why? Did his sacking at Newcastle have a deep effect (but then Brum came after Newcastle)? He never really seemed to believe in his players, even those he brought in himself. I'm so glad he's gone, although the Board are doing their best to make sure the new dawn is an unwelcome one.
Or the fans booing and throwing things at him lol. I still stand by what I've said, he was far from being a disaster for us. But that's in the past now and it's a fresh start, hopefully the boards risky move will pay off. *fingers crossed*
If he does join them I hope he spends their money wisely and buys back RVW! Watch out WBA total football could be just around the corner?
