I have lived in London for almost 2 months now and it has only recently come to my attention that there is a dedicated Norwich City pub here. I found this out from my colleague, a fellow Canary, but he is unsure of whereabouts it is. Does anyone on here know anything about this place? Would love to watch the game there tonight if possible! Cheers
Never been myself despite also living down here for years, but I got a feelings it's in Islington somewhere, possibly down Upper Street, but I'm not entirely sure and have no idea what it's called. Not really that helpful am I!!
Pretty sure it's this: http://www.oldredliontheatre.co.uk/old-red-lion-pub.htm Capital Canaries use it, probably worth a phone call regarding tonight's game Edit:
Yep. It's the Old Red Lion, like Gandy says. I've been a couple of times to watch games. Decent little pub, with a nice theatre too!
Hi Danary, it's not far from me, not made it there for ages. Anyone know if it's still busy - I'd love some company if the games get 'interesting' next month.
I went for the Derby and it was rammed and great fun. Really enjoyed it, going to head there tonight if anyone fancy meeting for a pint.
The couple of times I've been were last season (I used to live a lot closer to Angel than I do now). However, I definitely wouldn't be opposed to making the journey on a weekend, maybe next season.
Cor. So London Not606 Canaries 'Roll Call': Danary TMC JK EastEnd (obviously!) Bath [Rob?] Any more for any more?
Pretty sure I'm going to head up there tonight. I'm trying to persuade a mate to join but if not I'll come by myself
I'm right next to Vicky Park in Bow - minutes away from Bath Canary in Stratford. Love to make it this evening but I've got a two year old son to put to bed - sneaking out to watch to football in Angel might not go down too well with the wife.
I used to live the other side of Vicky Park in Homerton, but am now on the central line up on Woodford so a few of us aren't too far away from each other. Same boat as you regarding getting out for the game tonight, would absolutely love to get involved in that, but nights out for me are very few and far between at the moment so I'll be watching it on the sofa (hopefully not from behind it)
I am in N7 just round the corner from Angel , I saw Paul Whitehouse outside a pub near Highbury corner last week. Nice area.
