Not really affected me much tbh. I was working from home for a few months before the first lockdown as my office was ironically being revamped to cram more people in. So by the time lockdown hit I was already used to working at home, and I much prefer it.

I’ve lived with between 2-4 others the whole time during lockdown so whilst they do my head in sometimes I guess there is always someone around to chat to if you’re bored or whatever. Have to get out and about with the dog for an hour or so a day so that gets me out of the house as well

So yeah in all honesty I don’t mind it at all, usually I’m out with mates 2/3 times a week in a pub getting smashed then football at a weekend and training during the week. Can’t say I miss any of that, almost feels like a nice break from it all.

and just to add to my bad mood just had an online grocery delivery . The driver puts just inside porch as requested and as normal i start passing them in from the porch into the house .While passing a heavy bag in ,without turning round ,i overdid it and my chair went straight over backwards . Feels like i may have pulled something in that arm , other shoulder hurts , but worst is my head which hurts pretty bad , but no blood , and i feel a tad nauseous so presume i've got a bit of concussion .

This. I’ve set up so I can work from home FT so I’ll spend the whole of next summer (kids school holidays) in Portugal I think. I’ll work while I’m out there and enjoy as much time away from home as possible.

Lockdown isn’t bothering me too much tbh, got a lot to get through for work and my own stuff going on outside of that.

If I could give one piece of advice it would be to invest in yourselves, especially if you’re furloughed, cos once you’re back in that routine the days come at you faster and faster.

The working from home has been the massive positive and it looks like it'll continue outside of this pandemic. Saves me around 3 hours a day from getting up earlier to the commute back and fore.

People are suffering bad mentally. I’ve said before that this place has been a bit of a release for me and probably many others so props to all posters for contributing.

I’m currently looking for a Reno project to flip, was apprehensive due to housing market instability but I reckon I’m gonna go for it either way now as the areas I’m looking in shouldn’t cave too much.

I think it can hinder some industries massively, tasks are taking 3 weeks that would usually take a few days and everything is a diary appointment whereas usually you’d just walk across the office and talk to the person and get the job done.

Watch every **** move out of London now.

Yeah I'm sure you're right there. My job is the same other than I don't have to speak to my colleagues which is another bonus.

I know this place can be a bit ****y at times, but I've said before, nearly all of the lads on here look out for each other and when somebody is clearly suffering, there's a good core on here who are always open to lend an ear.

As for wider society, and I've been one of the biggest critics of the anti lockdown crew, but I think there's going to come a point soon where we have to accept a certain amount of deaths from this virus and open society back up again. We accept around 10k-15k flu deaths each year and I think it will be the same with Covid.

Problem is though, when we come out of lockdowns and get back to 'normal' there's going to be a tidal wave of mental health problems, social anxiety etc, not to mention a workforce whose brains have pretty much turned to jelly.

First one was a doddle...was quite an experience tbh having never been in such a situation before. You think it’s temporary maybe, a one off so you’ll get through it. The adjustments are seen as temporary so I could handle everything thrown at me on a social level.

Now we are a year in and I have admitted to myself that it’s affecting me but me being me I dont show it because I don’t want those that need me to feel vulnerable and down over it. I know what I’m like...I’ll just fight it and fight it. It’s also been an enlightening experience for me because I wanted to take that from it all. So many things that we say are important but they aren’t really, this last year has highlighted that.

Sundays was chillin n watchin football day with my bro and my Mum but haven’t had that for a year now so it’s been a year since I chilled with some of my family. It also affected the movements between my eldest and myself because usually we would do things, go out instead of being indoors. The best it gets now is we take a drive to the Moors and have a cheeky blaze. He also just managed 4 driving lessons in a year and that’s been a big hit because at that age you wanna be living the life.

Talkin on the fone/Zoom isn’t really for me...maybe on the odd occasion for a proper catch up but not a weekly or daily thing...then it becomes a chore in itself.

I’ve worked throughout and that has been massive for me for so many reasons...I’d have gone mental without that option of leaving the house.

reckon 2021 will be more of the same tbh and to be honest I’m dreading when it is all over coz one thing I have absolutely enjoyed is being at arms length of the Animal farm behaviour of humans returning in everyday life, holidays, going out, rowdy, pissy, **** that...loved the absence of it.

This place has been very helpful...maybe some don’t realise it but it has...it’s been a great escape and wether it’s at your expense or someone else’s, it always provides a healthy dose of laughter

    Stay strong my Breddas

I think (hope!) that people will retain that degree of standoffishness after this.

Can't stand people being on top of each other. Can't stand people breathing down my neck in queues and such like.

Just dawned on me I should be skiing this week, which is a gutter, but this means I've not seen my own mother for over a year now, last time was week before half term last year.

Need to rectify that, as soon as I get the nod to travel I should go.

I need another trip to Amsterdam

I got really used to the light traffic during the first one. Then the traffic returned and I started to feel claustrophobic...not quite over that one tbh.

Apparently one of the biggest issues we face is our immunity to some of the regular coughs and colds we catch will have been impacted badly by not exposing ourselves to them and keeping our immune system on its toes.

    ^^ This in spades ,

PS if you are in a queue or standing in a pub and there is someone in a wheelchair next to you can i just point out , surprising as it seems , they don't want you to use the chair to lean on .
