Likely that Newcastle will follow this week.

Potentially 6 months of no pubs, gyms etc is going to be tough for the Toon.

lots of restraints will include the likes of spoons I guess so as long as folk are eating should be okay.

It's not ideal is it.. I hate excersizing on **** equipment at home tbh, but it's an opportunity to do something different.. Its the way you view things that counts.

Just have to slim down to get up those loft ladders and through the loft hatch now. Is that where Obi has been stuck?

no he’s been in JPF’s sex dungeon.

the last time I saw JPF he was touting for business, flashing some leg at the bottom of the SBR statue.

So Liverpool shouldn't be allowed to play any games then if they are in local lockdown!

This is dependent on the cases per 100k,so I think we're in a better position down in London.

From what I gather gyms are gonna be open for us and pubs will have outdoor service only.

Live gigs are the real pisser though, everyone seemed confident they'd be back by next summer, that looks very unlikely now.

So what's the deal here? Pubs and restaurants will have to close (under the tightest tier) but if they serve "substantive food" they can remain open. So are they still allowed to sell alcohol indoors and are they only allowed to sell it to the people eating? Do they have to serve food up until a certain time or do they have to close as soon as they stop serving food? As for places only being allowed to stay open but with outdoor service only.....WTAF? How is that solving the problem? Surely pubs are just going to (if they haven't already) hastily assemble massive marquee's/gazebo's/covered drinking areas with patio heaters and **** so that people can still get their fix.

So it's ok to go to the pub and drink outdoors amongst strangers who may or may not be socially distanced from you depending on how many jars they've had, but footy fans can't go to games in a socially distanced fashion? Hmmmm ok.

That clears that up then. **** off Boris man ! We'll have herd immunity in no time if we're recording 15k new cases a day. I wonder what % of the population in total have already had it and been fine/recovered from it without even knowing or having had their numbers recorded.

We are way off herd immunity. To be fair that has to be the plan and we haven't tried to obtain it. It was initially until Boris dropped his arse and entered into our current farcical situation. Now the plan appears to be lock everyone up to suppress it, let everyone out when it dies down, then lock them all up and suppress it again when cases spike. Rinse and repeat until one of their dodgy vaccines which has gone through no proper approval process is ready. Sounds like a great plan.

To be fair most of the masses seem on board with this **** - to protect lives <laugh>

Oh and get a flu jab mate. Not to line these pharma company pockets, no just because it will stop you getting flu (it won't), which will ease the burden on the health service <laugh>

Now "long covid" is the big thing. I mean there are no figures available on how many people are suffering from "long covid" but that is apparently a reason not to go for herd immunity. A flick on the ****houses that are the BBC tells you all you need to know. Just a scaremongering website these days, facts in short supply. Main stories all about long covid, getting the flu jab, covid nightingale hospitals needing to be ready for the big surge, some professor warning a national lockdown is likely, etc etc.

Exactly what they are doing here - Jakarta has just come out of its 2nd lockdown (1 month) and am back in office today. Will probably work 2 days in and 3 from home. Gyms open again today but with only 25% capacity and you have to book in advance so that they can control that. Decided to cancel my membership anyway as I am set up to work out at home and its less hassle.

Food outlets can open again for in-house service. To be honest as alcohol isn't involved here good social distancing practices are followed. Masks are compulsory both outdoors and in indoor public places. Schools will stay shut, probably until at least January now and foreign tourists are still banned.

Policy is designed to not put too much stress on the hospitals and new lockdowns are based on % of hospital beds occupied by COVID cases, presumably until we have a vaccine.

Not sure why the UK system is made to be so complicated. Maybe its because you are all whiny buggers who see this as an affront to your personal freedom.

Most of this is good practice. The issue here is alcohol and schools. The alcohol thing is the issue. We also want schools left open which is fine as it’s proven the kids don’t seem to get as poorly when they get it but...... they can spread it. That’s the issue/
