The loan window closed yesterday. The only players to leave in the last week have been Neil Danns to Bristol City and Jacob Blyth to Burton Albion. Richie Wellens remains here. As for Michael Keane and Jesse Lingard they are still here and there loans can still be extending. Nigel Pearson said he made some enquires about signing players but all the players Nigel wanted wasn't available. I think the recent form of Waghorn stopped Nigel going after another striker
Michael Keane went back because of a hamstring injury (as far as I know). They were both on one month loans. I suppose the enquiries made were about strikers with Nugent out but I suppose Waghorn's form and Vardy's return meant it wasn't a necessessity,
Michael Keane officially is still here on loan but he is injured and has returned to Man U. When he does return to fitness the loan will be over and Sean St. Ledger would have returned so I dont think we will extend that. With the form of Dyer and Knockaert and with Ben Marshall on the bench I dont think there is much point in Lingard being here either.
There never was much point in taking Lingard. My assumption is that if we wanted Keane we had to have Jesse, too.
He's rated pretty highly and with our current injuries wouldn't be surprised if he got some game time tomorrow.
Would rather see Wellens play a role over him - runs around a lot but does nothing much else when he comes on.
