According to BBC, Lloyd Sam has gone on loan to Notts County until end of season. WTF??

Not made a big enough impact. decent but not good enough for promotion.

contracts up in June so I expect we wont see him again

Get game time? Possible move out next season? Difficult to say.

Think your post crossed with mine YWBK. Maybe this move is the cotract extension decider. If he has a good time at Notts & shows he has a future, maybe NW will keep him. Anything less, & he'll move on at the end of the season.

Seems like hes not warnocks type of player. last few games weve seen the give evrything, die for the cause type attitude enforced by warnock and i dont think sam fits that

Warnock has tried to sign Sam in the past maybe hes helping his mate Keith Curle out and looking at his contract but to be honest I cant see him getting another contract with us,

Hes decent but not automatic promotion standard n thats what we are building for,

Lads, Keith Curle is in charge there. Warnocks old right hand man. No shocker in this loan move at all. Rogers is returning & if Warnock likes the look of him it makes sense Sam gets game time. Not to mention Snod/Mccormack/White can pop up just about anywhere under Warnock.

He's helping a mate out and Sam will do well <ok>

Agree with Bucks this looks like it is all about helping a mate out in Keith Curle and if Sam doesn't fit Warnocks plans then that is another wage less to worry about next season.

I always felt Sam looked okay when coming on for us, however I did always feel the guy was lacking something to make him a regular.

Yep, looks good as an impact sub but he's never going to be a starter for us. I rate the kid but theres something missing <ok>

Don't think he is in Warnocks plans... He wants his own people in

Curle is a notoriously stringent coach (sacked from Mansfield for bullying a youth player!), and Sam is a notoriously lazy trainer. Makes perfect sense to put them together and hopefully get some work ethic out of the lad if he's not been training hard enough. Obviously he's not in Warnock's immediate plans, but he has admired Sam in the past and if he shows his determination, he can still make an impact next season if we're still in this division.

The only question floating around is whether the players themselves are happy with Warnock's raft of outbound loanees, and whether that's a good thing in the short- and long-term futures.
