what strikes me is how easy foreign sides can turn it up another gear. Liverpool deservedly were ahead at half-time, but jeez, where were they in the 2nd half. Can't see England doing much this summer
What a capitulation. How many guys didn't show up...Coutinho, Firmino, Can and they would have been better off if Moreno hadn't shown up.
Just had a look at the line up and something like 4 players were English (Clyne, Milner, Lallana and Sturidge). That means 7 players in the starting 11 were non-English. Not sure how you can reference the performance of 4 players in one particular game to how well England will do this Summer. I wouldn't put money on England winning the Euros but equally I wouldn't write them off either especially based on the performance of a club side in the Europa League Final.
see where you're coming from, but would you get 11 English players in any side nowadays. I thought if Seville played England the result would've sadly been the same
Don't see the link to England in Euro 2016, but I only watched the second half last night, and as soon as they scored after a matter of seconds it was clearly not going to be Liverpools night. Second half performance may just be the evidence Klopp needs to splash some cash this summer...but who he can tempt to join without any European football will be interesting to see.
I think Klopp has done well with a squad he hasn't added to. Doubtless he would have loved to have won, but this just gives him more power to spend in the summer. "Look what I did with a bunch of crap I inherited......."
Call me daft but I have Liverpool as dark horses for the title next year. With Klopp's passion, nounce and energy and a few judicious signings........
They will benefit greatly from having no European commitments, but the downside of that is that they will find it harder to recruit top players. Moreno first out the door.
