Laudrup 0 away....v.....5 rodgers away......Football we had under rodgers with flair and heart has been destroyed by laudrup this season.......we are in trouble boy...
We've been threatening to put 5 past someone for two seasons now. We did concede two awful goals though.
for me liverpool should have kept dalglish. i have never ever seen a team dominate so many teams, create so many chances, and have so many heroic performances against them than liverpool last year. a clinical striker added to that team to play alongside suarez and top 4 would be realistic. rogers has managed to lower expectations further, which is some achievement. steve clarke had you defending tightly, and he's left and is doing fantastically well at albion.
kept Dalglish Dalglish just like laudrup both the top of the tree as players but as managers then they are lower league standard at best......We at swansea have lost a good manager who would eclipse dalglish and laudrup in the management skills department hands down......our loss liverpools gain...
really? well for a start look at his managerial achievementsr . a legend of a player who was not given the opportunity to show what he could do with an extra season under his belt. as for laudrup and dalglish being lower league standard managers at best, your just embarassing yourself again dai, thats all i will say to that . i wouldnt place too much trust in rogers, he obviously rehearses his interviews beforehand to make sure he says all the right stuff but mid table at watford, a poor showing at reading who went from relegation to promotion after he left, and implementing his own style at a club that was already playing that way doesnt wash with me i'm afraid. anyway, for all his fanfare about tiki taka, werent you playing roughly that style last year anyway?
We played pass and move; a style comparable with but rather different than tika-taka. The retention of the ball, especially as a defensive device is a new concept. The slow build up is also quite new. Kenny was trying to achieve a more traditional type of football - playing quick attacking football, mixing things up, playing percentages in defence etc. The problem was that the players looked like they lacked direction - part of the reason we didn't break teams down like we should have. Don't really give a damn what he does in interviews. They're generally just for the cameras at the best of times.
rehearsed interview. Iv heard it all now.......Rodgers is so good he is telepathic and knows the answers before the question has been asked.. priceless....
he rehearses his lines before the interview you dunce. its obvious, steve mcclaren, the other king of PR and spin was another who did it.
Dai, there is various things you can rehearse. ALot of the questions are usually the same week in, week out. How did you think you performed, blah, blah, blah. Not hard for him ti think up in advance what he wants to say.
Dai, getting a bit tedious reading you creaming yourself about all things Liverpool and Rodgers. Fair enough, the board exists for all to express their opinions but I do wonder if you sometimes lose sight of the fact that we are here to discuss the Swans, NOT Liverpool. Liverpool means jack s**t to most of us and Rodgers is now history. Our function is to support our club, the Swans, as best we can and some other club is just that, some other club. If Rodgers succeeds or fails, it matters not a jot to me. He means nothing in the context of my football life and the only time he will be of some interest is when we play his team. Swansea City is my team and Rodgers walked out on us. His decision but he's gone and I will now support Michael Laudrup. He CHOSE our club, he WANTS to be here with us, so he's our man. Rodgers is nothing.
In fairness this thread is about drawing Liverpool in the cup, not sure what else he should be discussing here.
Correct, it is. But Dai is going beyond discussing Liverpool. I'v had enough about Buck, he's no longer our manager, so what he does/happens to him, I couldn't give two hoots.
