I don't think many teams have done better in the scheme of things. European Cup, a League Cup and a series of world-class players on their books isn't too untidy. I'd certainly have taken it.
Well you would! When you ain't even been in the top division for the best part of a decade, I'd imagine you'd take anything at this stage.
From 1992 onwards we have won 3 FA cups, 4 league cups, 1 champions league, 1 UEFA cup and 2 uefa super cups. How many English clubs have bettered that haul in the last 2 decades? Just curious as I guess anyone with less than that would be extremely "poop"?
Aye, I was a 100m sprinter back in my school days. Whilst I never won a medal in that, I did pick up two silvers in the three-legged race, a Gold in the sack race and sh*t load of Bronze's in the egg and spoon. Amn't I a proud wee boy? Mate, yis are a farce.
Come over to this wee land Soopy and you won't be long figuring out why. The place is full of the cu*ts and they never stop banging on about their glorious history. Truth is, they ain't nowte but a mid-table outfit that's never won the Premier League and only have a few Mickey-Mouse pots and pans in their cabinet to boast about since 1992.
Jerel, there's a well known syndrome in the football world called "we're still huge because we won summat when I were a nipper....ITIS". It has perplexed Scientists and Doctors alike for decades and to date there is no known cure. It affects Forest, Leeds and Liverpool fans in particular and can strike at any age. Symptoms include: 1) Having delirious dreams that you're somehow still relevant to the current big Clubs of the day. 2) High-temperature and nausea when Millwall fans come visiting for their annual League match (or in Liverpool's case, when Swansea and West Brom win and threaten their 8th place standing.) 3) Outbreak of fever when you realize none of your current squad were as much as an itch in their Daddies trousers the last time you won summat decent. 4) Vomiting and diarrhoea when drawn in the Cup against Wigan and realising you're the underdogs. Its a dreadful disease and one that all us football fans hope earnestly for a cure to found and the poor unfortunate wretches to be put out of their misery.
