    Date - Saturday 27 / 11 / 21

    Venue -
    Anfield

    KO - 15 : 00

TV - not in the UK

So after another regulation win in the CL we go back to the league where next we host our old feeder club who are doing OKish under Huffalump .While Ings goals are missed the new signing Livramento has had an impressive start particularly considering he only turned 19 a fortnight ago . Their last game ended in defeat to Norwich even though they were much the better team in the first half .

Last season this fixture ended 2-0

Highlights: Liverpool 2-0 Southampton | Thiago's first goal seals the win

Presumably the team will be close to first choice with Jota the obvious main doubt as i type this .

    PL 7-4-1

    CL 5-0-0

    LC 2-0-0

Theres literally zero.zero excuse for not winning this game.

Southampton have nothing about them this year to do for our side unless we hand themthe chances

    Salah hat trick btw

I imagine we'll get at least 20 goals.

Hope it’s the 9-0 mate tbh
    Cause it
    A) keeps your run going
    B) usually prompts you onto a bit of a run

so it’s in best interests of both sides :)

though personally I think it will be 1-1 :)

You've had a lot of very decent results looking at it and have not lost too many goals at all, seem to be struggling for goals?

losing to norwich must have been a tough one to take but you beat villa, leeds and watford yeah? not sure what cheslea team played in the league cup but a draw over 90mins there is a good result despite the pens.

the 0-0 v city i suppose should make us sit up and take notice.

Overall the main question ought to be with adams and armstrong are you going to be able to hoof it over trents head and chase after it with matip?

I'm making the trip north for this one and will be my first trip to Anfield. Not expecting anything so will just enjoy it. For anyone getting over confident, please remember we restricted Man City to one shot on target at the Etihad just a couple of months ago. We're not going to roll over easily. Unless we go down to 10 men early that is! And I can't remember when we didn't give you a proper game. Even the 4-0 a couple of seasons ago we were excellent in the first half and were unlucky not go in at HT ahead.

Football is a funny game, you have scored eleven goals and conceded 14 goals this season. Liverpool are top scorer in the premiership. You have to park the bus on Saturday to prevent a cricket score

    Southampton likely line up:

    McCarthy
    Livramento Bednarek Salisu Walker peters
    Armstrong/diallo Ward-prowse Romeu Elyounoussi/redmond
    Armstrong Adams
Bar the cheslea league cup game this 4411 or whatever seems favoured and the back 5 and CMs seem fairly settled. The options seem to be on the wing, with diallo, Talcott and redmond all like for like i suppose. Djenepo is also an option.

    Liverpool early news:

    Alisson
    Trent Matip VVD Robertson
    Henderson Fabinho thiago
    Salah Jota Mane
Robertson absolutely hates watching tsimikas play so will be desperate to put in a performance in this one. Jota is expected to be fit and the bench will look stronger with Kelleher, Konate, tsimikas, Milner, morton, ox, origi, minamino and williams likely all on the bench.

Right now long term absentee elliott and 3-4 week absentees Firmino, gomez and jones are out and the jury is out on Keita base don when he returns to training.

If LF can get keita and milner fit enough to rotate in with henderson and Thiago and origi can stop getting sick we can get into this festive calender and drive for 100%

    Southampton H sat
    Everton A weds
    Wolves A sat
    Milan A tues
    Villa H sat
    Newcastle H thurs
    Spurs A Sun
    Leicester (CC) H weds
    Leeds H Sun
    Leicester A Tuesday

thats the games up to the end of the calender year. Every midweek basically from now on theres a game.

this then finishes up on the Thursday the 2nd January with CHELSEA AWAY which will be a title decider (we hope) thats sunday, tuesday and Thursday guys. think on that one.

Realistially we need to assume or direct rivals city and cheslea would win all those top half clashes (leicester, spurs, everton, now wolves) and the bottom half locks (southampton, villa, newcastle and leeds)

The league cup will need to be sacrificed big style to get the first 11 ready for 3 games in 5.5 days.

We didn't park the bus at Man City and we drew 0-0. We very nearly won there. We won't be parking the bus on Saturday either. Not Ralph's style.

    league cup semi final?

your record is just over 1goal a game conceded including 3 conceded to chelsea in a game you were drawing til a red card came out. Plus an odd 2-2 v Burnley which is a bizarre score line given Burnley's scoring record.

given that's both cheslea and city you've given a right scare to, yes our lot should be taking you very seriously.

Enjoy the trip. hope you don't have the post box view. some of those in the anfield road end are absolutely shockers (up the back)

I'm fine, I bought my ticket early. I'm 13 rows from the front. Yeah League Cup semi was a trouncing. But that wasn't under Ralph anyway so not counting that. :)

Great view from there. You'll be able.to see mane score really clearly. ;)

Last year you got that 1-0 at home where we couldnt play for ****e at all against anyone

Most of the time though you just haven't been able to score so itll be interesting to see what you.can do this time.

They still have some decent wide men who can get behind trent if ralf is willing to play the channel balls.

Arteta's fetish with passing it short and on his own goal line lead to a 4-0 cruise.

When brentford or city or west ham were willing and able to go at us we cracked quite a bit.

Theres no great height I see in southampton side bar cbs so the trent back stick ball might not work but running in behind us certainly will.

Hopefully with a fuller squad we can up the levels again. Must win game with both of our main rivals playing sided that we want to see beaten and put away from us.

City v west ham is a big one.
Chelsea v utd is a slam dunk for chelsea.

We need to win to keep within touching distance of Chelsea. A 7 point gap at this point would start too look game over.
