Yeah, because we all preferred to lose the CL and PL in the drying days so we could parade the two domestic cups We're on for a quad this season but most, if given a straight choice, would opt for the PL trophy over a treble of FA Cup, League Cup and EL.
Yes, but we're not given that straight choice. There's no guarantee - or even strong statistical evidence - that sacrificing a competition gives you a better chance of success elsewhere. It's more complicated than that, and people are all different - some might benefit from a rest whilst others find their rhythm disrupted. It's not about working players hard, it's about not over-working them, and that is largely down to individuals and the coaches' skill in understanding them. We have a squad that should be able to cope with the task over the next few weeks at least- barring further serious injuries. With due respect to Norwich, we ought to be able to put out a team that will challenge them without having to stretch our resources. If we lose it'll be the least painful of our potential losses, but I still wouldn't take the attitude that we should just not try very hard. Success energises people.
we won on the final day. we literally could do absolutely nothing about city winning. didn't die on our arse at all. as for real game. imo starting mane was a massive error after his I'm leaving but I've great news ****e. jota would be been better. two cups is ****ing epic.
A PL or CL would have been better than both cups combined! I don't mind the League Cup because that is earlier in the season, it doesn't contribute to fixture congestion. Let's hope Man City get what they deserve in court, re-allocate the titles just do Klopp has the record he ****ing deserves! (Not that his record is poor without)
For me it's the same as the 2020 season when we put out the kids vs Everton. I trust Klopp to pick a team good enough to beat Norwich, and make a judgement on which players need minutes and which ones need a rest before playing Chelsea and Arsenal.
it'll be fine. some kind of player will take to the field and the bench will be laden with players wanting minites on their returns
so alisson (c) bradley konate quansah gomez gravenberch mcconnell Jones jota gakpo nunez the forwards could literally be any position. no clue. hopefully Beck amd clark get a half hour here. Great for McConnell. delighted yet another gets his go. he was good in preseason
Great news is itv don't have the time for a long drawn out analysis of klopp shafting lfc etc. just get on with the game.
lfc subs. robbo, trent, szobo. then make sure none drop of injury and put on another two kids in clark and Elliott for 10mins?? it seems to be putting a lot of work on those forwards though.
Pundits, commentators, fans, etc keep saying the players will be massively up for this today following Klopp's announcement... they may have known for a while already for all we know.
