Brighton are the biggest threat. 7 points behind with 3 games in hand.
It's best to have the points in the bag, of course - 3 games is 3 chances to screw up.

They could have a huge say in European places, title & relegation Only downfall for them is they’re playing 7 games in 24 days. Been really unlucky with the postponements.

    United home
    Everton home
    Arsenal away
    Newcastle away
    Saints home
    city home
    villa away

    Sone real tough fixtures.

they have been really unlucky with cancellations. newcastle is league Cup final game I think? utd is an early round as well. not sure if there's a queen death match still in there.

if they will all games in hand they end up 2 points ahead of us. any draw and im5th is in our hands.

we need utd to lose 4 games out of 6. it's not happening. it'd be nice if Brighton best them next though.

we need newcaslte to do similar.

    Brighton beat M United tomorrow.
    Arsenal beat Newcastle on Sunday.
Leeds then get new manager bounce and beat Newcastke the following saturday
Brighton then draw with Newcastle on the Thursday
    They then beat leicester
and last game of the season Frank comes good, winning his first and last game as chelsea boss to give us top 4

Should pitch that idea to a tv producer.

Is that a cage fight between two drag artists?

Could have scored a few but also could have lost (well, not won)

    5 wins on the bounce.
    Attack looking more cohesive
    Trent bossing games
    Hendo being completely useless

Add a few quality mids and defenders and we're back ...

Good win against a decent, well drilled side.

Seemed scared to shoot for some reason, getting in great positions and trying one pass too many or one cut back too many - but some nice build up play nonetheless.

Wish we’d learn to look after the ball better when approaching the end of a game too, don’t have to run it to the corner, just make sure you keep the ball and play safe.

1-0 should do the confidence some good, onto the next one!

you'll ramsay, trent and milner and like it young man.

If you get one CM on top you'll have to be happy with that. (that is 3 CMS right there with trent and milner)

Trent can start as RB and move into mid. We need 3 quality mids - Fab looked very good last night but then got leggy and was bypassed. Jones efficient but then gets sloppy as the game goes on. Hendo is just an empty shirt at the moment - if we have the choice of keeping one, I'd keep Milner.

Good that Fabinho has been cleverly avoiding yellow card that would make him miss two games.

I thought we were completely awful last night, without that pen we were never scoring. The Win just papers over the cracks for me.

    Also regarding the pen.
People genuinely saying its not a pen <laugh> rival fans obviously but fuxk me its as stonewall as you could ask for, nunez takes the ball off the defender and the defender takes both of his legs and none of the ball.

    Borderline some said <laugh>

Looked soft to me. Guy swung out a leg but didn’t make much contact with Nunez. He def exaggerated any contact and made it seem a lot worse.

He didn’t take both his legs. He didn’t get anywhere near Nunez right leg. And Nunez left leg just catches into the guys leg that is stationary.

Think if he doesn’t give that var isn’t overturning it as he doesn’t actually catch him with the leg that he swung out

First half, we looked good going forward but poor defensively.
Second half, poor going forward and poor defensively.

Overall, not a great game but there are some encouraging signs:

    - Diaz looking sharp and dangerous
    - Trent bossing games and looking world class
    - VVD is getting better
    - Jones continues his impressive form
    - Fab looking better but definitely short of his prime
    - Another win with the new system
