A big test for the newly confident and positive side put out by Klopp. If we can overcome the expected wall that big Sam will put up then we should be optimistic that this side will achieve things. If we lose or even draw (which I don't for a second expect to happen ) then we are back to square one.
Big game. derby, one off. no form guide counts here. The side who wants it more will take the spoils. We cannot underestimate the impact of a new manager making ****ebags like rooney want to impress. This one is very very tough no matter that the everton fans claim PREMATCH.. they'll all be crowing post match if they win. Its a pure oh we told you we'd lose ploy right now. they are desperate to win
Agree with MITO - Everton are struggling at the moment and they will sit deep. Hopefully our fab 4 will destroy them with ease.
I like how Klopp has altered our shape over the last few matches. It's no longer a 4-3-3 only and yesterday's formation was initially confusing 4 2 2 2 but when that team gets going it becomes very lethal. Some of the combination play was just filthy!!! I'd actually play the same team as the game is on Sunday with Milner/Robertson to replace Moreno. The question I keep asking is where will Lallana play in this moment? Does he replace Winja?
I think we're going to see more rotation than we have in the last few years. It's the first time in a while we've had the players to do it. Attacking, that is - the defence is still threadbare.
I maintain that Lallana is a good squad player but not good enough to start. He surprisingly did well when he dropped into CM as the most advanced but that is Coutinho’s spot now. He could rotate or he could drop further and rotate with Gini, but again, he’ll be learning a new role as B2B. I know he presses incredibly hard but in his current position, he can get away with leaving spaces and gaps when he presses aimlessly. If he plays deeper, that will cost us. Gini is far more controlled in that aspect Anyways, he’s a good squad option to have. But given age, injury record and wage, maybe we should look to move on ...?
no he doesn't. the reason why lallana is boned is he doesn't retain the ball. While wijnaldum is not great he doesn't lose the ball. Lallana is a presser and a cruyff turn. if we play the front 4 we cannot play more "creative" players as well. I would just say. the pace and intensity will be 1000% more this weekend. when there less time and space show me this combination play and flowing passing and then i'll be happy.

Being serious, I'm a lot less certain about this game than I was Moscow. As others have pointed out, we always have a big win hangover. We also seem due a stumble. I haven't forgot how bad we started the season and feel like we're almost overdue a loss or a bad result. Just like IBWT when he sees a nice round fencepost, I think I'm going to sit on the fence for this one (just not the post). 1-1 draw.
We have to win our home game against Everton because the one at Goodinson Park is going to be more difficult
