Have the FA said what will happen with the European place if Cardiff win?

They're all allocated to the FA, who then allocates them to the comeptitions (UEFA has to agree). When Cardiff were in the FA Cup Final they said they weren't going to let them take the place if they won because they weren't going to give an English place to a Welsh FA registered club. So if Cardiff win today that would mean the place is given to the highest team in the PL not to have qualified unless they've changed their mind.

Slightly off subject but I have Ant Gerrard's partner on twitter and she had tweeted that she wanted Liverpool to win then said she did not think Ant had been treated fairly by Cardiff.

So, a choice of upsetting the wife, or upsetting 30,000 Welshmen. And he misses his penalty.

I'm gutted for Ant Gerrard, he's a real character and leader, great with his head and made a difference when he came on just before ET.

Having said this, what will Cardiff's reaction be in the league now? they've lost 2 finals in 3 years, tough to take..

I'm surprised that A. Gerrard and Bellamy didn't both score own goals.

The fans sing "you'll never walk alone"......you don't in Liverpool or you get mugged, so good practical advice.

    Ant Gerrard @antgerrard86
Sorry to everyone! I can't close my eyes wid out seeing that penalty!! It's goin to haunt me for the rest of my days! Head is mashed!

I've just seen that his kid's been really sick, he's been in Alder Hey Hospital for the past two days, I'll wait until I know he's okay before I ask Gerrard for my fiver back.

Its was nice to all those nice people at Cardiff gather around AG after his miss. :emoticon-0111-blush Oooppsss....sorry forgot, they were far to busy wallowing in there own self pity. <wah> Kenny Miller for me cost Cardiff the Cup. He missed a sitter from 6 yards out just before the end of normal time. <yikes> But i must say that AG did lay on a nice pass for Kuyts goal in e.t. :emoticon-0116-evilg

now thats a very good question. since the turn of 2012 Cardiff have played 12 games W4 D2 L6 in all competitions(W1 L3 in 2 cups) and the month of march cost them automatic promotion last season. Cardiff have West Ham(h) on sunday followed by Brighton(a) and Bristol City(a) the week after before we go there on the 13th.

Steven said he felt really bad for him and didn't celebrate much at all at first. I can't help but see this comment as you looking for something to criticise Steven Gerrard for.

Not at all mate, Antony Gerrard sunk to his knees after missing that penalty and Gerrard just legged it without giving him a second thought, if he was my cousin I'd go to him straight away. I've seen foreign footballers show loads of class, I remember Lothar Matteus consoling England players instead of celebrating.
