I got to say, im not worried at all about them or Cheltenham if we fail to go up!
I chatted to a few Tranmere fans when I was in Liverpool a few months ago. I reckon they'll be a bit shocked by getting relegated because they were quite confident about staying up.They said there wasn't much between The Gas and Tranmere when they played in the cup.
They will lose players like we did. Any Michael Smith types will go. They will have to rebuild pretty much like we did. Its funny that Tranmere sacked their manager who ended up at Hartlepool and went on a great run after looking doomed and his Hartlepool side recovered to relegate Tranmere! I also find it funny that Gary Johnson got his players at Cheltenham to sign a bit of paper saying they will do their best not to get relegated. Johnson basically relegated 2 clubs this season with Yeovil and Cheltenham but did get help from Buckle with Cheltenham mind!
The guy who went to Hartlepool had fallen foul of something or other at Tranmere and apparently had to go. It may have involved a wager, but I'm not sure. I think there are a lot of players in League Two who just aren't good enough. We had a few of those, but I didn't realise until we went down and saw this team develop. We'll come back much stronger than when we went down.
