Seeing as we have the clique, the cult, and more, why not try and select a Liverpool cult XI! Liverpool fans have been blessed with watching dozens of truly world-class players ply their trade at Anfield over the years, but in some instances, these great players are not the ones the fans always relate with best. There are some who forge a close relationship with the fans, or whom the fans idolise and love to see associated with the club purely on account of their character, personality within the team or for the effort they put in. They are not always the most talented, though quality does not preclude their inclusion in this group, but they always have an affiliation with the club's supporters. They are the cult figures of Liverpoolâthose who are remembered for their time at the club long after their departuresâand this is a team made entirely of such former Reds.
Biscan, I think Garcia will be remembered very well for many of his goals ( and inconsistencies). Djimi Traore can't control his feet. Possibly a Smicer in there. Any from the 90's ring a bell?
------------------Clemence--------------------- ------Thompson------Neal--------Hansen------- ---------------------Alonso-------------------------- Gerrard------Whelan------Molby---------Barnes ------------------Dalglish----------Rush---------- i know we all think dif but that's mine, obviously a lot of close calls ie Brucie in goal Emlyn Hughes,|Hyypia,or Keegan and Toshack up front, but instead of Dalglish and Rushie not really. just realised you said former reds lol, who instead of Gerrard? i put him there to accommodate my mid and he can whip the balls in.
Gerrard! Harry Kewell could also be one for the hopes and dreams we had with him and how often he would crush them.
May be getting before my time haha. I know players from about 96- on. Edit: I know of previous players but never watched them other than highlights or youtube.
Rafa must have been absolutely FUMING with him in the CL final. CL final and you come off injured yet celebrations are going on and you are jumping around like a complete and utter tonk!
Dudek. Rob Jones. Carragher. Hyppia. Riise. Luis Garcia. Jan Molby. Patrick Berger. John Barnes. Durk Kuyt. Robbie Fowler. Subs. McCallister, Titi Camara, Smicer, Kiriakos, Biscan. Manager. Rafa
Phil babb sliding into the post..... Evans may be my manager, he was so close to fixing us and getting us back on track ( if CL had been around with a top 4 then, we would have been in it!!!). Also enjoyed his 3-5-2. Collymore possibly although he was not my sort of player but who can forget the yell by the announcer when Stan scored against Newcastle?
Mascherano has to be in there for this
