Lamps+Mikel...no thanks, plus Luiz is great, he'll do a job there) - Front 4 speaks for itself really (Schurrle has great work rate, plus Willian, Mata will be great to come on if we need a goal) I think this has to be the team. - Strong Defence. With quick fullbacks. - Strong CM'S. Who can also play a bit. - A great attacking front 4. Who also has great workrate, all 4 of them Thoughts?
There is no chance Luiz will start in Midfield. I agree with your view but Jose will never pick him there. He's already said he won't pick defenders in midfield as a veiled dig at Rafa; really can't see him going back on that. Sadly it'll probably be Lampard and Mikel especially if Ramires is out. It'll almost certainly be Ivan at right back and Eto'o probably upfront. I think the attacking 3 is probably right though, shame as the Mata **** will carry on.
I can only see a draw or Chelsea win personally. The team CPofL picked will be the team apart from Schurrle instead of Willian. IMO anyway.
Time for Jose to put up or shut up ?????? Can you imagine the excuses if AVB s' team get the win ??? This should be about which is the better team, not the better Manager. Always want a win,but expect the same approach as against Man Utd, and an equally dull game. Suprise me Jose, pick a team to win and let them play that way. Start be picking Mata.
You all see your team far more than i do but for me the selection would Keeper Cech (for obvious reasons) Full backs Azpi and Cole (both great defenders and good going forward) Centre backs Cahill and Ivan (both sound defenders and faster on the ground than Terry, also a threat at set pieces) Def Mid Lampard and Ramires (Both good at defensive duties, Lamps can control the game and Ramires has the energy, both have desire to join in attack) Attacking Mid Mata, Oscar, Schurrle/Willian (Mata and Schurrle/Willian to provide width and creativaty, Oscar to play No10 as main creator and second striker) Striker Torres (he can stil do it).
