These things happen in football. Teams lose from being 2 goals up.
It happens to every team every now and again.
Yes. We messed up. But we can't really moan about Barmby being too inexperienced when this time yesterday we were saying he was the ideal appointment and that he could bring great things.
Burnley are a curse for us. Always have been, always will be. Anything we take from them is a bonus, and Fryatt hitting form is good enough for me. We saw some attacking football, and despite conceding 3 goals in the final 12 minutes, it's better than watching us lose 1-0 after having only 2 shots on goal all game.
Barmby will bring excitement to the KC, entertainment. We lost one game, and a few are already saying 'NB out'? Give him a chance!
We'll make up for this loss somewhere along the line. We'll beat Birmingham, West Ham, Southampton, Cardiff(again) or Boro, probably (and hopefully) more than one of them.

We'll occasionally lose to poor teams, and beat the bigger teams. That's football. So let's not lose our heads.

    Good post mate.

People moaned about the negative tactics of NP, grinding out 1-0 wins and preferring more entertainament even if we lost.

    Well thats what happened yesterday.

What the defeat did highlight was the lack of strength in depth at the moment what with Waghorn Pusic Garcia injured, Mclean suspended.

Thankfully McLean only had a one game ban, and I believe Waghorn, Garcia and Oli are going to be available in a fortnight?

I believed Waghorn was coming back for the Watford game, then Forest, then Barnsley, then West Ham then Derby and so on. I've given up believing only to be disappointed on match day.

NB was very dismissive about the possibility of Waghorn's return on blunderside last night in his post game interview.

There was nothing positive mentioned at all so I wonder if we'll see him in a tigers shirt again?

Can't say anything about the match as I wasn't there, but I want to look at it this way, in that maybe its better we get the 1st defeat under the manager out the way now than later on in a more vital match. Hopefully come Tuesday we make up for yesterday and then we embarrass good old Nigel on his return

The only thing that worries me now is that it could become a bit of a losing run, we've lost 3 of our last 4 now (even if all 3 of them have been very unlucky), if we get beat at Saints and then against Leicester we could fall away from the playoffs and the players could lose confidence.

With that in mind, we'd best take something from Southampton.

The problem is, they haven't dropped a single point at home yet.

On a positive note at least NB seems to be getting Matty Fryatt scoring again, so just need to learn how to see games out when they have their noses in front.

Waghorn won't be seen in a tigers shirt again - he is always "a couple of weeks away" and thats the way it'll be until NP takes him back to the foxes IMO.

As someone pointed out last week, he was injured on international duty, so the FA will be paying his wages.

QUALITY POST MATE. Could not agree more with you and were my comments in the toilets after the game. Give Burnley credit as they threw everything forward and City had switched off. The saying that 2-0 is the worst lead to have was proved very true. I bet it dont happen again. NB is no fool and i felt for him. The lads let him and us fans down but they will learn from it. Maybe a good result in the long run as if City had won 2-0 i feel they might have got sloppy @ southampton. The Burnley result is a short sharp shock to the systems of them all. Fryatt was well spoken after the game and the form of him and Cammy was magic. With Mclean back for the now suspended McKenna an attacking 4-4-2 on tuesday and 3 more points. The Saints game IMO is the perfect game after Burnley. Cannot wait folks. UTT

if thats the case then why ? hamstrings can be bad and if its that bad then say so. just tell us whats going on.

but as olm posted, the FA will be paying his wages regardless. i think waghorn will be back for the birmingham game or at least on the bench. he cannot play against lesta anyway.

I'm not sure all the words used in that sentence were completely necessary. <laugh>
