Before you start spouting your rubbish about "we should not get involved" just remember who allowed Gadafi to operate as a dictator all these years. Just remember who shook his hand after large sums of oil and just remember who supported his reign. It is everything to do with us and as we are part of the united nations we must comply and help the Libyan people against crimes against humanity.

Its not rubbish. Tbh whatever happens in libya, happens in libya. Its not our country.

The french had the first strike i believe. Why should we turn a blind eye to cruelty and dictators just because they are not in this country?

Because we have our own problems in this country that need sorting first and formost. Secondly japan is in need of help and they're truly desperate. That should be priority. Not some war in another ****ing desert.

Our problems are nothing in comparison to theirs. Japan of course needs help and it is getting it, as are the people of libya.

So because these people are libyan and are arabs they deserve no help?

The situation in libya is very bad and Gadafai is violating international law. Therefore, they need help. I know you have no care in the world for these people but our leaders have supported these dictators and have supported the oppression they put on these people. Japan is getting the help they need. The United Nations was set up for a reason even though it has been vastly useless in situations in Bosnia and Rwanda.

If the show was on the other foot, do you think libya would be sending military out to help us?

Gaddafi is a ****ing Madman, but we knew that 30 years ago.

Too many selective interventions to claim it's purely a moral decision:

    - Mugabe is a despot (Cym is right to point out that he's murdered plenty of his own)
    - Chinese suppression of Tibetans and crimes against their own people
    - Indonesian quashing of East Timor
    - Tamils butchered in Sri Lanka

The list goes on, and this is just scratching the surface.

That said, should we stand by and watch an civil uprising be put down with brutality from their own government?

    No for two reasons

    1) they would'nt be able to
    2) Gadaffi would be in charge

Stretty here we go with your hate towards a group of people. If Gadafi stays in power do you not see the affects of this. One thing for sure is he would destablise the economy

The people of Libya will get their way in the end but Stretty you make the Libyan people out to be not human with your comments "another desert". Its people like you who encourage genocide and mass deaths of groups of people.
