A good signing IMO, an old head as things get to the grunch can only help.

I don't think so. Turned us down once before (didn't Lawrence as well?) and never appears that interested when playing against us. Always moaning. Not a Malky type player.

Lawrence has been plagued with injuries over the past year. He started brilliantly for Pompey but then got injured and never reclaimed his early form. It's good for Pompey to get his wages off the books and to get a bit of money in for him - not so good from a playing perspective as it leaves us short of first team players - but it seems a bit of a gamble from Cardiff to take such a injury prone player onto their books.

He will be part of a squad with us and not depended on week in week out as at Pompey. He will enable us to rotate players who are starting to tire after a tough season.

Any loaner is a gamble at this time of the season - we know too well after some of the muppetts we took on last year. However, Malky has not rushed into this market and will have considered his options long and hard before taking him on.

"I'm sure Malky doesn't want to go up and come straight back down again as he doesn't have the right team to stay up."

Some said the same about us. We changed very little (unlike QPR) but will stay up with room to spare. Just goes to show that clearing out the players who got you there may not be the answer.

Fair comment KnackeredJack. Change isn't always the answer - if it ain't broke don't fix it.

I agree that I think you will stay up - it pains me but it's been a good season for you guys.
