    line ups?

    kelleher
    bajcetic
    endo
    gravenberch
    Elliott
    quansah
    doak
    tsimikas

all starters? any room for clark?

it's a bit different to be able to pick out squad members vying for a chance to have a game rather than guessing which children might be plucked from obscurity.

McConnell, clark, scalon maybe all will come into too?

Leicester? That name sounds familiar. Weren't they semi decent once upon a time, like when PNE were top?

Would expect a few more youngsters to get a game here as Klopp has clearly signalled the Europa is important to him and won’t be used to just dish out appearances

I think this is home game and gives more scope, as does the 3 home europa games.

I think quansah, doak and Clark have to have their hands up big time.

Yes but it’s a tough one
I have made no secret of saying every trophy is important but I understand the idea of prioritising
    - even if I don’t 100% agree with it

reality is City are capable of winning every trophy they enter. Cups however are - imho - a chance to get a win - the league requires a lot of things to fall into place.

Success is what keeps a side at the top end so I say go for it

also winning is a mentality - a loss to Leicester might set the wheels turning the wrong direction.

would run Salah for first six months and let Egypt have him knackered so they can have him in the state he normally gets returned but I think that would upset Mo and have to respect his wishes too

    rambling now
    I’m off

I didn't think before the season started we had the squad to compete in more than 2 comps

as we stand however we've added a young cb and our second 11 isn't awful

    kelleher
    gomez matip quansah tsimikas
    Elliott endo jones/gravenberch TBD
    doak gakpo jota.

its not that terrible as it was last season but we have to find room for clark now.

the other kids have some time and games at their level coming up that are good enough as the u21s are really either u18s or guys waiting to get a league 2 offer.

Things can change very quickly in football, whilst we have a world class manager and a pretty fine squad we should be looking to bag up on as many trophies as we can.

Definitely wouldn't. He's a right mardy prick when he gets subbed off because he just wants to play.

Yeah I think Mo’s issue when he comes back from international duty is related to the disappointment of not winning more than fitness - the guys a machine

Trouble is, going for more can result in fatigue and ending up with nothing

Of course. We want to win everything. Wouldn't prioritise it over the league, but I certainly want to win. A loss, the silver lining is better able to spare the effort elsewhere, but yes, I want to win the whole damn lot if we can. No tears shed if we don't, but I want to win.

IMO we have now set ourselves up for a good run to the end of the calendar year

    SAT 30 SEPTEMBER — TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR (A)
THU 5 OCTOBER — UNION SG (H) - RESERVES PLAY
    SUN 8 OCTOBER — BRIGHTON (A)

    SAT 21 OCTOBER — EVERTON (H)
    THU 26 OCTOBER — TOULOUSE (H) - RESERVES PLAY
    SUN 29 OCTOBER — NOTTS FOREST (H)
reserved for EFL cup round 4
    SUN 5 NOVEMBER — LUTON (A)
THU 9 NOVEMBER — TOULOUSE (A) - RESERVES PLAY- group is done
    SUN 12 NOVEMBER — BRENTFORD (H)

    SAT 25 NOVEMBER — MAN CITY (A)
    THU 30 NOVEMBER — LASK (H) - RESERVES PLAY-
    SAT 2 DECEMBER — FULHAM (H)
    TUE 5 DECEMBER — SHEFF UTD (A)
    SAT 9 DECEMBER — CRYSTAL PALACE (A)
THU 14 DECEMBER — UNION SG (A) - RESERVES PLAY-
SAT 16 DECEMBER — MAN UTD (H) - Crucial to league
    campaign
midweek reserved for EFL cup QF

SAT 23 DECEMBER — ARSENAL (H) - Crucial to league
    campaign
    TUE 26 DECEMBER — BURNELY (A)
SAT 30 DECEMBER — NEWCASTLE (H) - Crucial to league
    campaign

For me now we have enough with the major away day done i nthe europa to play the squad in those games left and really focus on this league campaign up to the new year.

the exact same for the EF cup. I am sorry but if we win v Leicester then the efl cup 4th round if a week off between two league games we need to win in and honestly the league cup QF is at a terrible time for us. We must be ready for utd and arsenal.

the squad is coming together, we nee dot maximise the use of it for the next few months to be in a good position for the run in after the fa cup 3rd round debacle (usually lol)

    Kelleher
    Gomez Matip Quansah Tsimikas
    Elliott endo Jones/gravenberch
    Doak Gakpo Jota.

That teams will get maybe up to 8 outings as starters there not including first team injuries etc. 14 games for the firsts. thats 13 weeks btw.

so no we cannot flog the first 11 here, its a squad game and IMO from now on we can win the europa group and see where we get to i nthe EFL cup without killing the first 11 with games.

This is all quite exciting times compared to expectations of battling for 4th in a transition year.

I suspect Klopp is leaving the Europa League less to the reserves than you suggest based on our previous game. Probably not full strength, but not just reserves.
