Guys, this is a copy of letter sent to the clown! To Simon Clegg I am writing to express my total dismay at the way you are running my beloved club. I have been an Ipswich supporter since i was 6 years old (1975) and have never felt so totally let down as i do at this moment in time. You have to be the worse thing that has ever happened to my club, you have absolutely no idea as to how a football club should be run, christ, you struggled with athletics which was supposedly your forte, how Mr Evans ever thought you could do a job in football is beyond me!! The thing that really gets me is your arrogance, why not admit that you know absolute Jack about football? No, that would mean you getting the sack wouldn't it!! I think you have to take a look at the different Ipswich web sites to see what people think of you. Trust me, it doesn't make good reading!! You have said that you have not received any negative feedback with regards to your dealings with ITFC, i say 'You are sooooo bloody delusional it is unreal' You need to wake up and smell the coffee, you are not welcome at our club and this is not just my point of view but that of many Town fans!! At the end of the day, all us Town fans want is what is best for our beloved club and to be honest this does not include you, nor Paul Jewell, its time to admit that you are way out of your depth and piss off, it may be nothing but a high earning job to you but rest assured it is far more to us Town fans!! Regards Gavin Bradley (Spain)
San Diego I'm guessing it will say something about Sir Bobby!! If it does then its time to go higher!!
A copy of the letter I have sent Dear Mr Clegg Where's my Ipswich gone? I have decided now is the time to bring to your attention my fears and feelings. It is my general feeling that since Marcus Evans took us over things haven't been going particularly well at my club. There is no question we would be in financial trouble without his backing but I feel as though the history of my club is being eroded and more importantly, it's connection with the community. The approach we have taken in order to reach the premiership as early as possible is just not working. We have spent a lot of money for championship standards but this investment has sadly not taken us forwards. Our last period of success was built on having a five year plan in place and that is something I would love to see now. I am very proud of my club but it is rapidly becoming something I hardly recognise. Our once heralded academy is in danger of becoming all but obsolete and of no use to us as we sell or release our scholars and replace them with the so-called experience of ex premiership players. Now obviously football is a results driven business and it is normally the manager who takes the brunt of the blame for things not happening on the pitch but it is getting to the point where I feel that the problem may lie higher up the chain, mainly with yourself. I understand that you are the face and voice of my club at Marcus' request but this is not enough. I want to see a man in charge who has a good football knowledge and is capable of putting a coherent plan together, are you that man? Bringing to my attention the painting of turnstiles is NOT something I want to hear at the moment and if you think it is then maybe you are not as 'in touch' with the supporters as you think. This football club, although owned by Marcus Evans, belongs to me and the people of Suffolk and I want it back. I want a change at CEO because I feel you are not up to running my beloved club in the way I want. You say that you have not had any negative feedback with regards to your own position but this could be the start of a campaign that will put pressure on you to resign. As a member of a popular forum I have seen first hand copies of other letters that have been sent to you. I have also read your replies and was even sickened that you dared to use the great Bobby Robson to try and strengthen your case. It is in the best interest of all concerned that you step down before a more public display of discontent tarnishes the image of my club further. Thank you for taking the time to read this, I await your reply with baited breath.
San Diego Very good letter bud but you never told him to Piss Off!! Which, in hindsight, is a very good thing!
Good letters, but he will say they are peppered with inaccuracies. You know, I can never understand why Clegg does not do what Sheepshanks used to do before home matches, which was to pick areas of the ground, and talk to supporters, and shake their hands.
all good letters etc. but it will be water off a ducks back a real protest at the next home game may get a bit of his attention ###########but then again it may not he does not want to listen or see the truth .
