When this beeped onto my phone I thought it might be a thanks but I'm off message, but far from it. I liked this. I like what he is trying to do and I like the way he is going about it. http://www.fulhamfc.com/news/2014/august/15/a-letter-from-the-manager
I liked it as well, Magath is clearly trying to build a young team and seems impressed with our academy! This does not happen over night there will be Good games and bad games this season let's enjoy watching the transformation support the youngsters all year and hope we sneak into the top six
Nice touch from Felix. As fans we sometimes can feel a bit alienated from the team but he clearly has his own methods for keeping us up to date. As for what he and the players are trying to achieve, it is going to take time but it appears that the staff and players are all pulling together to make it happen as quickly as possible
What they said. Despite the reservations some people have, Felix seems to me to have the right approach off the pitch. A win tomorrow might make it easier for everyone to show a bit of patience though.
I agree, although I am not 100% sure we will win tomorrow. i think Millwall are one of those teams that will just outmuscle us, like Ipswich did. There are plenty that won't be able to but I think a good 40 - 50% of the teams in the league would be able to intimidate our youngsters. Second half of the season we will be much wiser, I think.
My reply to Magath Thing is Mr Magath you say trust us, we know what we are doing. But so far since you took over you've come out with the same BS, trust me, over and over again. You've then blamed players who you've played out of position on our relegation, but your management style and tactics have proved inadequate. We have no spine of a team to build around, and have been left with a team of youngsters that have very little leadership and experience in this division. Those players like Tunnicliffe, Kacaniklic, McCormack, Burn, who have Championship experience haven't even featured in the friendly games to get them match fit!!!! The players brought in from abroad are not experienced in any of our leagues. You seem to be trying to wing-it. I've watched German football a lot over the years and it is a style they try out bringing youngsters through earlier in their leagues, but then they have been doing it for years and to be honest the Bundesliga has moved slightly away from that. You seem to use the unfit excuse a lot with players, what happens when we get last minute transfers and loans in, are you going to make sure they are match fit before signing them up or will we get the excuse that they need time to get match fit !!!!! So it would seem you are going to experiment in the first half of the season and hope you can pull a run off in the 2nd half ? That's if you stick around long enough. Normally I am someone who gives a manager a chance but I'm getting fed up with being fed all this BS by all the management levels at the club.
Is he suggesting the fee for McC wasn't £11m? "Contrary to popular belief, we have not spent huge amounts, but have invested wisely."
SBMB I think you have a point last season especially for the Stoke game where he played Burn out of position. The rest I disagree... Kaca is a lightweight in any league. The reason for not playing Tunnicliffe or Burn is unknown but McCormack didn't look fit according to his standards. We have brought in some good players and trying to keep cost low. The players who have left were no more Fulham players. Probably there are 2-3 more to go. Just give it a rest for a few games mate. It's a marathon and not a sprint... I have similar fears but I'm waiting to see the team playing a few games first.
He went on to acknowledge that McCormack was the one exception who we had to pay big money for. No conspiracy here.
Felix says in todays FFC match comments that Ross Mc Cormack is not fit. Why, in the 4/6 weeks he has been with us have the coaches, and physios not been monitoring him, so to including him in the squad seems a pointless exercise.
Results will decide Felix, future, I feel that if we don't get any points from our next 3 games, alarm bells will ring, then who knows.
One thing that got me on Saturday... Fitness levels are where they should be! No comparison with last year where the team was out of play from the 60th min, from the start of the season!
Starting to wonder... Yet I saw good things in the first two matches of the season. Not too sure what's happened since.
