Come on people lets be honest we know today was going to be hard city have only dropped 2 points at home all of last season and this season. And apart from the first 15 mins i thought some of the link up play was outstanding, Granero and Faurlin look really good for playing for the first time together. The defence looked ok and i think with Mbia coming in there will get better. People saying why did he drop Cisse well here is why Johnson will put a shift in and not stop chasing unlike Cisse. Hughes knew city would have lots of possesion at the back and he got it spot on with Johnson and Zamora today both worked their socks off. If that is the first time of playing together then i am excited coz we looked very good on the ball at times. Yes don't get me wrong we do need to work on things but that will come very happy sometimes you have to look deeper then the result and look at the performance.
Just run AT the opponents INTO the inside corners of the penalty area, is all I ask. We look like we are too scared to run AT them, we kept wanting to pass the ball sideways around the area. We have just as much skill to take them on as anybody (and we have to, basically), so that's what I would like to see more of - just like Johnson did, which ended up with the nod in by Z. If we make more of those kinds of good runs in onto goal, I think we can really do something up front.
