....we were actually quite lucky not to throw it away today. 11 v 11 we looked like the better side, but Chelsea have to be applauded for the way they played with nine men. They took the game to us and we weren't clinical enough when we did get in and around the box. We were at home against nine men, regardless of who they were, and still couldn't stick the ball in the net! It didn't matter today, but it will when we're trying to nick a goal away at Blackburn or Norwich. I mean, did Warnock actually change a single thing tactically for the second half?! That said, and despite all the above, I would have ripped your hand off for a point each against Chelsea, Spurs and Man City, and we already have that. So I suppose it doesn't matter if you win ugly, as long as you win.
Until we strengthen the backbone of the side and have strikers who are top quality we have to take whatever we can get however we get it. We've won ugly today and at Everton and won pretty at Wolves, all are worth three points only...
That's right. This was an unbelievable result and I'm still pinching myself. It's all about getting as many points as we can by Jan, regardless of the way we get them. Results like this set us up nicely.
