Don't think anyone could hold it against him if he wanted out at this stage of his career. But in terms of who he'd go to is a bit of a quandary. I imagine it would be down the divisions? We all remember what happened in his Sheffield United spell. It would have to be a very certain type of club he would have to go to. I'd love him to stay, like Jager he is one my favourite ever players, a club legend in no uncertain terms.

Bournmouth play "football" as opposed to hoofball - they an option?

Hopefully, he will stay but, players want to play! <cheers>

Leon Britton is and has always been a top Pro for us, and I think Monk has to play him more next season as he is still without any doubt our best defensive midfielder, I cannot understand why Monk has side lined him so much this season, yes he has had some injury time and other family issues, but when he is fit, he should be the first name on the team sheet. Cork is under development as far as I'm concerned and Leon is still the better DM and Monk should see that.

Leon will stay with us, though I'm not sure what is behind Jenkins sound bites, maybe Huw would have liked to have seen more of Leon, and if that is the case then I agree with Huw, though I suspect something else may well be driving the article Jager has listed from the EP......<ok>

Leon is a ball playing general but we are building a team of taller more direct players. His injuries this season (and we don' know how he's been affected by the lay off) allowed Cork in and tbf Cork took his opportunity, I can't see Leon playing anywhere else nor will Cork - so 2 into 1 won't go.

Yes but we need two class players for each position , 2 into 1 does work if one get injured.

Not sure Monk would see it like that as Leon wasn't on the bench when he was fit this season. I wouldn't mind seeing us try three at the back with Leon & Cork in front of them.

Yes but we were doing quite well in the league then, he's not likely to make changes unless he needs to.

Agree but not even on the bench.
I think Monk might be shortist as Dyer had the same treatment.

I still think he has another season in him maybe two abet mostly on the bench but he is the only one i think should make that decision. If he wants to play regular football then i dont blame him if he steps down a league or two. He has been one our best ever midfielders of all time and is a legend of legends of SCFC....I hope he stays...

Still more than good enough for next season. I'd like to see him become a player coach next season too.

First of all we cant sell him and sentiment has nothing to do with it musty, He is a great player in his own right but age is a bit of a factor in the premiership. He may not be able to play every game but when called upon he can show the youngsters a thing or two and that's a fact. As for getting rid then where is the loyalty that he has shown us over the years. Don't you think he deserves a bit of loyalty back because i strongly do. Players of his determination and love for the club dont come around to often and i will always hold that little player with a big heart for our club in great esteem...

He's few playing years left but probably not with us , if you read into anything by his gestures after the game at Palace are anything to go by then it'll be by his choice and not the Clubs' .

On this one I have a sneaky feeling you might well be right, though I hope your wrong, maybe Huw and Monk should reconsider the depth of experience he offers..........<ok>

Send him out on loan if he really wants to play, then he will still be attached to us in case we have to recall him....
