Neil Lennon has said that he thinks that making public the names of the SFA panel who will hear Rangersâ disciplinary appeal is the wrong decision. The governing body announced on Friday that Rt Honourable Lord Carloway (Chair), Craig Graham and Allan Cowan will hear Rangersâ appeal against a registration embargo and fine imposed on the club last month for rule breaches under Craig Whyteâs stewardship. Rangers manager Ally McCoist said that the names of the panel who passed the original ruling should have been made public in the name of transparency and the identities of the individuals involved were leaked. Lennon has said that he thinks naming the panel can lead to unnecessary pressure and is not in the best interests of the game. "I think it is grossly unfair,â the Celtic manager said. âThese people do it voluntarily, they do it because they love the game, and do it for the right reasons. "I don't think there is any need but there you go, that's the decision the SFA have made, so you need to go and ask them why they have done that. "I just think it puts extra pressure on these people and they are under enough pressure as it is." Rangersâ appeal will be heard at Hampden on May 16. http://sport.stv.tv/football/clubs/...-name-sfa-appeals-tribunal-is-grossly-unfair/
I would not agree with your heading. Surely this is a major climb-down because of Ally McCoist previous outburst. I t is typical of football in Scotland and society as a whole. McCoist made an outburst which should have resulted in criminal charges. Instead he is rewarded and the people who are reviewing the punishment issued at the tribunal are put under pressure and will now no doubt lighten considerably the sentence Rangers were given. No doubt Salmonde and other government ministers will talk to these men before Wednesday. Scotland proves itself again . Thank God Neil Lennon has made some attempt to make a public statement on this farcical tribunal appeal.
Lennon is 100% right , why have they named them ??? Funny they wern't named after Rangers got off Scott free in the old firm shame game .
On the general chat forum , a poster mentioned the anniversary of the Bradford fire , within 3 comments our sick friends , edge , Trevor had mentioned Neil Lennon . Now I get accused of hating Rangers which I do , but these two half wits take hatred to a new level .
Trev's beelin'. Maybe his 'girlfriend' will put a smile on his face tonight.... Unless she has a puncture.
Sorry Trevor , my mistake it was Edge and that Easter Road bigot , that made the comments you were sandwiched in between them .One day you might have the balls to apologise , let's be honest you make plenty of mistakes .
