Saturday see's us again kicking off in the traditional Saturday 3pm slot against the Foxes at the KP stadium. For our last win in this fixture you have to go back to 2014, so we're long overdue one. Incase anybody didn't know Leicester is famous for a few things :- 1 - The Elephant Man (aka Joseph Merrick) was from here.....not Sunderland as his appearance would suggest. 2. Sue Townsend (author) was from here 3. "Extreme Ironing" was founded here by Phil Shaw in the 90's 4. The remains of Richard III were found under a car park in 2012 5. Walkers Crisps 6. That twat Gary Linekar 7. Leicester is home to rock band Kasabian 8. They won the league back in 2016. Match details Date: 7th April 2018 Kick off - 3pm Venue - King Power Stadium Referee: Stuart Atwell - his 4th outing for us this season having presided over our home wins against Stoke and Palarse as well as our defeat away to the Arsenal. H2H 2017 - Lost 3-2 (h) 2016 - Lost 1-0 (a) 2015 - Lost 3-0 (h) 2015 - Lost 3-0 (a) 2014 - Won 1-0 (h) Team News Joselu is doubtful...thank **** Slimani is ineligible against his parent club We may well see an unchanged line up from the team that took the field against Huddersfield last week with no new injury concerns reported. Victory will only see us jump 2 places to 10th assuming that Bournemouth (home to Palarse) and Watford (home to Burnley) fail to win. Draws for either would most likely see us jump above them on GD although most of us would quite happily sacrifice a place at the expense of Bournemouth turning over Woy Hodgsons lot. Directly below us and within 3 points, Brighton are at home to Huddersfield and West Ham are away to Chelski. It's an old cliche but we just need to care of our business and let the rest do their thing. My prediction....a tough fought and tight 2-1 win for us. Kenedy and Gayle on the scoresheet for us. HWTL
KP was a brand of crisps? http://www.kpsnacks.com Previous ground sponsorship was from Walkers? Hmm... (I think a narrow defeat for Newcastle in the match)
Stuart Atwell match Ref this will be Atwell's 4th game involving us this is the first game that Atwell has reffed in the premiership since March 4th ( where has he been, demoted ?? ) his only involement in the premiership since the 4th was as a 4th official at St. James' last week Atwell comes from Nuneaton,, 20 miles from Leicester similar to the situation we had last week where ref Martin Atkinson lives 20 miles from Huddersfield (and we know how Atkinson let things go in that game) in the 3 previous games he has been refferee to us, he has booked 8 players with no sending offs there are still 2 refs who have not reffed us at all this season which beggars belief how the PGMOL appoint refferees in the first place - -- over to you Mike Riley
Chippy is really going to struggle to read that many words with a number of long ones in as well. Have you been taking lessons from No Chance? I've seen shorter match day threads from him than this one. Would be good if we can at least get a draw from this one. Leicester at home are a pretty decent team.
Have they got anything to play for? Can see us winning this, though a draw looks most likely and Leicester - dangerous at home - could well turn us over. We'll definitely score in this game, but with no Slimani and Schmeichel in form we'll struggle to score. Lascelles has been imperious so no doubt we'll keep the clean sheet, though Vardy has been imperious so no doubt we'll concede.
I'd go with Ayo Perez up top and Merino in the hole if Gayle is our only fit option...**** that - even if him and Joselu were fit I'd still go with that!
Very tough match as they are a good home side. However I think we are a good away side and our tails are up. 0-0 draw.
Thank Holy **** for that, I though Jonjo was having a stroke seriously was considering ringing the ambulance! On second read I probably should have read to the end, the bit about Lascelles/Vardy is clearly comical...
Much better than the tried, tested and fully developed...we are playing someone , somewhere, at some point, fact packed, informational type match day threads ACS works his fingers to the bone for. .....especially as CM is batting 100% WIN over his 2 match day threads (which means we get to purge his abject failure with fire and sacrifice his blackened bones to appease the footballing gods if we lose ...firm but fair)
I don't think we'll commit too many forward in this game to try and nullify their counter attack and pace up front. Expect Rafa to set up to nick a goal and that will mean Gayle up front which is the right choice. Can see a 1-1 draw from this one.
Leicester - Sat - Win. That do ya fella? Feel free to steal my summarised version and use it for your next match day thread!
