It is the golden wyvern of Wessex. Harold carried a wyvern flag into battle at Hastings and Stamford Bridge, but the Wessex men had been using it for centuries before then such as Alfred at the battle of Edington. It is possible that the Angles and Jutes stole the idea of dragon mythology from the Celts, but such emblems have been used for thousands of years across mainland Europe so no-one can say for sure. In a world with few certainties this flag tells us who we are and from where we have come. It imparts a sense of permanence and continuity. It is a symbol of our identity, our common history, tradition and of the kinship of all the Anglo-Saxon people. It is also a stark reminder that in multi-cultural England unless we embrace these things then we will surely die.
That then should be our national flag and replace the banner of the catholic idol who never set foot in England's green and pleasant land.
Francis Drake was rock mate. Fortunately we didn't have to rely on seasick northern monkeys to defend our shores.
It's called lager, you ale swigging lout. And it's a lot stronger than that Throgmortons Olde Pizzler you drink up there.
Just a question, having lived in London for 10 years, sister settled with kids in Herne Hill and never coming back why are the majority of ye right wing and the Scots as well?
Nah you're just a ******ed peasant. No ****ing clue about the world around you. You tried to quote the housing situation in Peterbourough (or whatever ****ty little midland town you live in), as an example for the issues with immigration I'm an anti-nationalist but most nationalists i know would be ashamed to associate themselves with you You think Hitler is the height of comedy
Because they're all insecure sad ****s that have no concept of the outside world. They think the 'foreigns' are evil, and are coming here to ruin their lives. They don't understand that they've already failed at life. We have one chance at it, and most of them live in the north of england/scotland But they feel better about the ****ness of their lives when they call people 'darkies'
Fair enough and I agree they do seem rather insecure, some of the views date back to 40 years ago ie Alf Garnet,Love Thy Neighbour etc.My country is in the **** at the moment but people leaving these shores are all educated whether it be with trades or professions, similiar when I came over in '89,all educated gone be the days of "no blacks,no dogs,no irish".I was in college in the '80s and 1 year with their degrees (Quanity Surveyers) all went to London and got jobs, they were recruited before they left, thick PaddiesI ask you...
