I think, like VAR, the panel have taken into consideration the extent of the injury. I've got no problem with the punishment standing.
I think someone needs to have a word with young Harvey about staying off social media for a couple of days. He really shouldn't be talking about the incident other than about his recovery. He's already made his feelings known. Imagine a similar incident in the future where there is intent and the referee lets it go because he's now aware that even the players out for months with broken bones are saying don't give a red card. We love you Harvey but shut up now.
ah its just kids innit the guy commenting means nothing to refs and FA. I think he comes across as having earned form calling kane a mong and that, in fact he comes across as a nice young lad bar having truly awful styling.
One of the spuds posted a tweet from. A spurs fan about harvey elliots injury being karma for calling kane a mong. Honestly
Jeez, if that’s the kind of karma for calling someone a mong, people around here are in for some seriously bad stuff happening to them
Yeh I know but he's already shown his support for him which was a kind gesture. My worry is that continuing with the red card aspect of it, could influence a decision for someone else further down the line. Players have been disciplined for what they've written on social media so we know it gets looked at. Obviously not saying this is a disciplinary matter in any way just that the football authorities do keep an eye on social media.
He did look very upset on the field "wtf did I just do". Can tell from his expression he obviously had no intention to harm.
