Lawro's Predictions

Unsurprisingly we start where we left off last season with him predicting a loss against Chelsea. Though he probably is right this time. I'm being optimistic

I reckon 70% chance of Chelsea win, 20% draw, 10% Swansea win. Based on Chelsea's poor pre-season.

So the 20% won then

 

We would all take that before the game. Slightly disappointed we could not have won with the chances created. They were still a great side with ten men, and played better with ten men. One or two their players cost more than our whole team. So overall delighted.

Watched the game in a pub full of Chelsea fans and they whinged about the fact they should have lost 6-2

 

Exactly. They'd beat a lot of teams with ten men. Maybe with a little more confidence we could have won but if we continue to play this well that confidence will grow and grow. I thought we were very assured and looked like one of their direct rivals rather than a side they'd expect to roll over.

 

After only TWO games Lawro has us in 17th and he's -5 points out

I have to say while i dislike lawrenson and not just for his resemblance to a mouse but also his attitude its important to remember predicting results isn't very easy at all in the premiership.

 

Not easy at all Panthro, but even a monkey can hit a 20% success rate.

Of course, it's rather difficult (although I have predicted the exact score in both Swans games so far!), I take your point.

The issue we have with Lawro on this forum is not his prediction talents in general but his continuing to predict our demise. I can't work out whether he's just too stubborn to admit he's got it totally wrong and not give Swansea any real credit or whether he's just stupid and really thinks we're a lot worse than we actually are.

He's predicting a draw against Sunderland We might even escape relegation at this rate.

 

I think he is just a thick football snob, living in the dark ages fantasising about clubs that were big when he was a little girl. Boring, pointless, ill informed, ignorant, boring, ugly, out of touch, still boring and would describe him as a complete and utter c@nt but that would be offensive to c@nts. They are not boring.

A part from that I quite like him and his opinions!

 

He says we are the team he's got the most wrong about, yet still tips us to get relegated with his predicted scorelines.
