should not be the butt of any humour as he was obviously sharing a little too much Christmas spirit and throwing caution to the wind.....................http://www.dailyecho.co.uk/news/942...after_head_butt_incident_at_Southampton_club/
Strange thing for Lawrence to have done - too much alcohol by the sound of things. To be honest, he had a very poor game yesterday. He should have started on the bench with Erik the Viking in the side at the beginning of the match. I reckon he should be sold in January, as I honestly believe we will not miss him one iota.
Agree Wooperts - and asap as we will completely lose our holier than thou rights to take the pee out of barmy Barnard
He looked way short of match fitness and his touch was awful. Erik should have started in an aggressive 4-4-2 and we should have gone for their throats from the kick off.!
Strange decision to play him. Erik should have started. I suppose MA must have thought Lawrence would give us more strength in midfield and then give Erik a run out after an hour or so. It was plainly obvious from the off that Lawrence was not match fit or sharp though. He should have had the guts to tell MA he was not ready beforehand, but that's not his style is it.
I think he's a busted flush. He has lost what pace he had an I don't think he will get it back. Kitson needs a proper strike partner (ala Doyle from his reading days), something he has never had since he joined us. He has never been an outstanding goalscorer but, with the right strike partner, is a real handful and could make a lot of goals while picking up a few sreikes himself.
SB3 was that part of Liam's initiation into the House of Burberry AKA 6:57? Shame he only got cautioned as he could have kept Barmey Barney company in that cold lonely cell...
Maybe they should have a super six boxing tournament for all the various punchy nightclub footballers the only thing is you would have tip a bucketful of alcohol down their necks first as these sort of guys generally have to be pissed out of their brains to summon up the guts to be aggresive
Must say, I was impressed with Kitson yesterday - for once he won virtually everything in the air, and had a pretty good game. Good decision by Appy to bring on Marco Futacs in place of Mullins in the second half. Quite an adventurous move that, and boy didn't he look sharp when he came on to partner Kitson up front. Could this be the start of a useful attacking partnership ? Let's hope so.
Was at the match as well- we always play an aeging squad- so good to see Futacs was out playing. Hopefully Williams will get a run out now Thorne has been recalled by West Brom
Someone posted the link about Lawrence's head butt on Facebook and he also wrote a love heart next to it, and wrote 'legend etc...' Sorry but that is f****** disgraceful! I know/hope not all Pompey fans are like that sick ****.
If he wasn't a footballer, just an ordinary employee somewhere, that would have probably earned him summary dismissal. The anonymity of the keyboard seems to allow people to bring out the worst in themselves. If you don't like what you can read on Facebook then I would advise you never to sign up to 'twitter'. I've just been reading Stephen Hendersons twitter page and the contents are shocking - tweets from Saints fans accusing him of being a peado, incestuous and at least 4 wanting him dead. I don't know because I've never looked - but your players may be getting something along similar lines. Some real sickos' out there.
I have both... That is just sick Some people really are messed up and they are so full of hate and rage and thinking they are better than someone else simply because of the colour of the football shirt they wear once a week! Football used to be a family event, it still is at most clubs but I think depending who your team is playing it is becoming more about hate and trying to 'out-do' each other, and quite frankly it is pathetic!
The internet is a big crowd and all sorts hide within it. Sadly not the Basset's variety. I see myself as the blue, pimply one.
