Well Dai, who did the disrespecting first ?? And thats exactly where your argument falls down. Flynn- aint never heard anything bad said about him, the true hero and founder of our football if you ask me. Jackett- Did the hard yards if you ask me, brought in the framework and put in the correct foundations, not many loved his football but he never got any grief from any Jacks either. Martinez- Ah yes the guy that changed everything in the entire history of football, told alot of lies, lied to club when he was on a boat with dave in spain, lied to club when he was supposed to arrange our pre-season tour and didnt do it,lied to the fans about his loyalty and used that as a lever to suit his own ends. Stole the family silver when he left, stripping the club of nearly all its back room staff, leaving the club with an almoost impossible task to recover in one of the hardest leagues in the world. did well as a manager, almost cost the club everything with his ruthless move to a smaller team. TOOK ALOT OF **** OFF FANS AND WELL DESERVED TOO AT THE TIME. Sousa- did fantastic considering what he had to work with, his job remit from jenkins was "to keep us up" he did better than that, left with the blessing of the fans as some wernt happy with his style of football anyway, never had any problems from the fans. Rodgers- left to go to a massive club in liverpool and 99% of fans wished him well, nobody could turn down liverpool so it was a case of good luck brenden...what he did after he left though was a different story So there you are Dai, no fans have Disrespected any manager unless they did the disrespecting first ...which they did
I am talking abut now and the rubbish fans say about Brendan, it use to be Martinez and sousa before him.....sir mike will be judged on how we do this season as the past managers all did a good job and have the t-shirt to prove it....Im hoping sir mike can do better or at least do the same as what Brendan achieved in reaching 11th place but until he does then he is no better or worse than the past managers
I don't give a Fcuk about a Rodgers he had his come uppance a few weeks ago. This is a happy thread, so lets all be happy then please
WHY keep on the topic of the thread when you can derail it and go and on and on and on about your favourite lovechild? I daresay that when Sir Mike does eventually go and we get a new manager, old fiddlesticks will be keeping on about our old manager all the time, as he does now, saying our new boss has done nothing yet and until he has done something he`s rubbish. As a sidenote, Bobby got us promoted, Roy got us promoted as well. So if Sir Mike does`nt get us promoted he`ll be considered a failure, is that right Dai !! I`ve heard that just before the game on Sunday Sir Mike is going to get the players together in the conference room. He`s going to tell them that they have a choice, and they are going to stay there until they get it right. He then produces three envelopes, one with lose on it, another with draw on it and the third one with win on it. All the players are going to have to choose the same envelope before they are allowed to leave. They could be there a long time........ please log in to view this image We`ll find out which one they chose later on next Sunday. please log in to view this image
three envelopes nah..... just a well done and thank you banner for getting us to the premiership..... that's all that is needed really...
Never had a bad word to say about Sousa, though his football could send you to sleep, but I'm sure if he had been given a decent striker, the football wouldn't have been so negative, Jacket no problem, though he did rely on Trundle far too much, Martinez for all his lies and failings when he left gave us the real legacy of our Passing and Possession game, no more moans from me regarding him, but as for Rodgers you all know I never wanted 'Brenda the tea lady' from the start, and I'm glad he's gone, I'll thank him for having the presence of mind, to have not messed up our football heritage, but what a load of blarney!...................
to me its been a total progrssion from manager to manager, bear none of them ill will, they have done what is best for them in their world as would you and i in our world, job progression is something we all want, we may not like it but all previous managers, like us, want the best for their families and themselves
Swansea might have been lucky to sign with Laudrup, but in all honesty I believe that Laudrup has been really lucky to sign with Swansea aswell. This is the first time as a manager that he has been given the freedom and resources to buy the players he wanted and he can finally show what he is capable of. Laudrup has different methods and philosophy than most clubs and they usually interfere with his work. I think that he has learned by his past that he would only accept job offers with no restrictions and as Swansea already played some of the football that Laudrup wants to play, this is the perfect match. We are all thinking that he has made some huge signings this season, and even though they are very good, Laudrup just tends to make players better, and you gotta have that in mind. Laudrup is very good at improving players and especially midfielders, so if you think they are good now, just wait till the end of the season. They are gonna become monsters! If you want to kickstart your career as a midfielder, you gotta play for Laudrup. Nowmatter what he says in the press I know that the cup means the world to him and as long as he is rather safe from relegation he will go far to win it. One of the big reasons why he chose the job offer at Mallorca was to play in the Europa League, and he really wants to bring Swansea there. His biggest weakness is that he is not very good at handling egos. He will rather be your friend than your boss and if you donât respect him and listen, he canât work with you. He tends to avoid conflicts and doesnât know how to demand respect.
