Apparently ML has called a press conference for tomorrow to explain his side of the story and has accused the club of downright lies leading to his dismissal. He has been unable to speak out up until now on the advise of the LMA, but now feels he needs to air his version of accounts. It is now believed the so called 2 day break to Paris never happened. This should be interesting because one things for sure ML is a man of integrity. I hope we as a club have been totally honest over this issue as the integrity of the club is at stake.
The board leaking stories to the welsh media is the tidbit I'm most interested in , as a set up to his dismissal
I hope the club have been honest to as it will damage our reputation if we have not been, but something has never sat right with me from the off, and I am worried about what ML has to say. Because I honestly feel that our club has done some ****ty stuff recently.
There are loads of holes in our version of events, both official and unofficial , this could get messy ,which would be a real shame. Key players were instrumental in the removal of laudrup,be interesting to see if anything is mentioned.
and if he says he didn't go to Paris? and some people that write in the Mirror or the Sun, or even some ex-players who used to manage Ipswich say some bad stuff about us? what then? it seems you think our reputation and integrity will be in tatters. So I'm guessing you're a very principled individual and will no longer be supporting Swansea City?
I will support our club, through thick and thin, but I am not going to blow smoke up anyone's arse if they are accountable for ruining the good image of this club. As with anything, we are all accountable for our actions, and if the board have gone about this is an underhanded manner, then questions need to be asked. They not doubt enjoy all the plaudits they get for the good things they have done for this club, they also need to be prepared for the backlash that may come if they have royally ****ed up too.
The reason a lot of us follow our club is to be entertained ? And with goings on and off the field it is high drama at times. But ARE YOU NOT ENTERTAINED ! I find it all quite funny but one thing i feel is assured, that is the club will still be here long after the characters and us lot have long gone . All the theories of what's gone on may be way off and we won't know the facts until both have aired their dirty washing in public ? How about this, the board didn't read ML's contract properly as with mr ki's and in the small print he becomes 51% share holding chairman when he finishes as manager which got captain Morgan and co. panicking ? I'm sure there will be madder than that mentioned as this saga continues .
I am sorry I dont think the Paris thing had anything to do with his dismissal. We wont be the first or the last club to be at odds with a sacked manager. Neither will tell it as exactly it is. The real reason will be somewhere between the clubs and ML version of events as to how his sacking came about. I dont get all the fuss over his sacking (I may be in the minority). Managers come and managers go and we move on. The only thing that is a constant is Us fans.
I suppose its because there was a split in feelings regarding the sacking, some of us were not happy he got sacked, others were happy. And its just created loads of debate. And with some of the rumours going around, such as players not happy with training, ML not turning up to training, not training in the rain, BT hijacking our transfer dealings, that its all coming to a head and we need for both parties to air their sides of the story properly, so we can fall somewhere in the middle and move on.
Thats fair, but do you honestly believ either the clubs or ML versions will be the truth. Both will spin it in the way they want it to be believed. I dont have an issue with the sacking, but i also would have had no issue with ML still being our manager. I just think everyone needs to move on. GM is now in charge and he should be backed 100% by us fans.
What I find extraordinary is why all these excuses and reasons for his dismissal have been leaked. I thought that the timing of sacking of ML was crazy, he should have been allowed to continue at least until the end of the season, in saying that if the board felt deeply that this was the best way forward then why not just sack him on our recent poor results. This is what most clubs do after all it's common knowledge that football is a results game. I believe the board either lacked the courage to sack him outright or tried to force him out thus avoiding a big compensation payout, a plan that appears to have backfired. My suggestion to the board is to pay ML his contract in full and move on and avoid all the uncertainty that lurks around the corner if we maintain this stance.
Apparently there's a press conference in Heathrow Hilton today at 4pm. If he's still thinking about legal action, wouldn't a press conference be damaging to his case?
Not if he has spoken to both the LMA and his Lawyers and they have told him what he is good to say, and what not to say.

"I had my ideas about the team and players coming in. "I had my ideas about the team and players coming in. Especially the Spanish market, which I know very well. Because of the economic problems in Spain I knew there was a possibility to get quality. "I try to get players I knew with a good impact in squad and ability. Chico, Pablo, De Guzman and especially Michu - players who came because I asked if they wanted to play for Swansea."
Who cares what he has got to say, It is his management skills was his downfall just like at his previous clubs.....give up trying to manage as your pants at it...
The most successful manager, 9th in the league and a major trophy, European football, this will go down as the best period in the clubs history. 50 years from now people will still be talking of this fantastic period. Dai's response, 'give up management, your pants at it', dimwit is not the word! On ignore from now on.
he's a decent manager...... wouldnt have him in that position at cardiff, not got the required pedigree as a manager. but he could serve in the backroom staff of solskjaer, maybe he'd make a good coach......
very harsh gendros, he's got plenty to pass on as a coach, barcelona or real madrid could look no further than laudrup for one of their youth teams.... he'd quit after a year of course, but theres plenty of teams in europe.....
