After being in Stockholm by more luck than judgement I was able to go last night - here is my short summary of the game. First half we were poor, very little encouraging to say apart from Danns who looks a cracking signing. Waghorn had a couple of fancy touches but was ineffective due to a complete lack of service. Schlupp did ok at left back but is not tall enough to stay there! 2nd half and 10 substitutions later we looked hungrier. Wellens, who played in a more advanced role than I've seen him before looks ready to go - quality for 45 minutes. Konchesky looked good for his half a game as did Michael Ball and Kermorgant (yes, really) looked like he could have a role to play, He played wide left, linked well with Konchesky and imo looked like he could be the 'bit part' trouble causer we will need sometimes. Stevie Howard looked fit and hungry, 1 quality finish to some good build up play (Kermorgant again!!), two penalties and one that I'm not to sure if new much about! All in all a good night out and a City win.
Thanks for that Nyon I think the 2 games in Austria will be altogether more difficult and we will soon find out whats in svens mind
Welcome to the forum Nyon Can't wait for the Madrid game now, I'm sure fitness will be pretty much spot on then and the players will see it as more than a friendly.
