Saints fan here, looking forward to playing you next year. I have lived in Manchester, and know that City fans are about as optimistic as Saints. So many years of disappointment takes its toll. As the longest week of my life unfolded in the run up to our final game, I kept telling myself two things. First, if we could have chosen a fixture that we simply had to win to get promotion then home v Coventry would have been it. Second, if we didn't beat Coventry we didn't deserve to go up. You are now in a similar position after yesterday's amazing result. Beat QPR and the title is yours. Remember it's QPR not Real Madrid. Good luck and enjoy.
The nerves can play awful tricks on you. You either walk it if you score in the first 10 minutes or become desperate in the second half, attacking non stop and a long punt up the pitch to Zamora to score with his first kick in the 89! Gives QPR the point they need.
Nerves will play a part, but players like Toure, Silva, Kompany and Aguero are used to the big stage. Should not be too much of a problem, but QPR will be fighting for there lives and have some very good players, so it will not be easy.
I am not saying it will be easy. However QPR cannot come and try to take a pointas that might not be good enough for them. At least they will have to come and attack which should give us some chances which I hope we will take.
A point will do for QPR, however it will be a mountain to get that at City, esp with our bad away form. QPR fans are just as nervous as City's. And you know, when your club was top for most of the season and blew it? Some people should stay quiet at times.
We only need a draw or (I say only) or a Stoke win or draw against Bolton. Fingers crossed we'll be both celebrating after 90 mins in our game and 90 mins in the Stoke vs Bolton game.
