First of all this is not a knee jerk reaction to todays result. Norwich have got more money than us, better players and play better football, so the result was hardly a surprise. what was surprising however, was our performance. I have come to realise that our players aren't underperforming, in fact they are playing to their upmost potential, and therein lies the problem. we are simply a team that are light years behind most of the teams in the championship and to even consider fighting for a play off place is laughable. Is this the reason MM plays hoofball, because of our limitations? and knows that there is sod all he can do about it or has (as his body language suggests) had enough and is casting his eyes about (selhurst park?) you have to feel some sympathy with him as he has been hamstrung by ME. But you have to admit that MM has let some decent players get transferred on a free with no attempt (I think) of trying to get them e.g. Matt Freyer a free from Hull to Forest As for ME I feel a bit uncomfortable criticising him because god knows what would have happened if he hadn't stepped in when he did. I respect his right to privacy but his distance has alienated the fans and the frustration of getting no feed back regarding our ambitions, plans ,etc. is killing us. He has got to realise that the life blood of any football club is its fans and if he cant/wont communicate then this will end up with piss poor attendance loss of revenue less money available for transfers and the slow painful death of a great football club. so I urge ME book a two hour slot on a local radio station and conduct a live phone in show so fans can ask pertinent questions such as; 1. where do you see this club in 2 years 2. how much money was available to MM this season for transfers 3. how much will be available next season 4. how do you explain £80 million debt owed by the club to you 5. what happened to all the money made from selling players etc. etc. etc. This is his chance to let us all know and stop treating us like mushrooms Make no mistake todays performance was not a one off, this WILL happen again and again. if his heart is no longer in it then publicly open the club up to offers and piss off and take MM with you and leave us to mourn in peace
