    Good points.

They all seem to have the mental strength when it comes to playing the mancs, Chelsea etc - where does it go when they play Wolves, Blackpool etc?
It really seems like they just expect to turn up and win without putting the necessary graft in.

Let's hope this mindset is radically altered in the forthcoming seasons, otherwise we're in for a hell of a long wait for a title.

yup being on sky super sunday and having a huge crowd that well up for it does seem to electrify our lads.... When you play the teams who have small stadium mid winter you really earn those fat wage packets. to me they train all week but this shouldn't even make them sweat if they are ift. Its the 12-14km they must run on a saturday that earns them their corn.

Strolling about while roy hodgson rubbed his face in agony while blackpool et all walked all over us was shameful. roy should be aschmed of himself for what he signed but the players who didn't bother are really poor imo.

Hopefully dalglish is such a legend no-one will think they can do that... comolli and dalglish need to move on most of the squad within this year and next i feel.... my worry is gerrard is so untouchable that i don't even think he realises that he sets this sort of tempo rather a lot.... the amount of times he burst into life i nthe last ten mins after doing nothing all game last year was ridiculous. not beleiving in hodgson is one thing, not delivering is another.... I just hope he can see that he can't stroll round any more and gets back to what he can be.

    Firstly.
I think our current side has what the 90s side didn't and thats steel. However the current side hasn't got the flair of the 90s side.
    However.
    Flair can be bought...Steel can't.
This current side is inhumanly strong and under Kenny has got its identity and its self belief back.He needs the overall flair to compliment this.
That can be bought,However, the self belief the steel and the overall togetherness, fighting on a united front cannot be bought.

Now I'll fully admit that my thoughts may well be influened by listening to Catatonia live at Glastonbury singing Road Rage in 1999 plus 5 pints of Thatchers (ask Somerset_Scouse) but I ahve a slightly different take to KPR.

He talks of steel wheresas I think its about heart. Our youngsters could not show steel last season but they went into every match with enough pride and heart to say you won't pass me! For once in their miserable existance Arsenal showed the same spirit in their games with Barcelona (something United could not match). That's what Kenny is re-building throughout the team. What Carra has and what I hope the Gerrard still has - a pride in the club and the honour of the shirt. If the side has that then the individual skill can shine through. It embodies the spirit that we are Liverpool and you had better be both good and lucky to beat us.

Aren't ''heart'' and ''steel'' not the same thing.''Steel'' is inner strength. These young lads showed both of these, and thats whats needed throughout the entire squad.Talent alone can win so much, but heart and burning desire can do a hell of a lot more.Look the 2005 side pushed above its weight by having those qualities.Even the 1986 deemed by many including then captain Alan Hansen as being quite ''limited'' had this.
