AT THE BEGINNING OF THE SEASON WE WOULD HAVE ALL SETTLED FOR 17TH PLACE,HOWEVER WITH 10 GAMES TO GO A TARGET OF 12 POINTS SHOULD BE REALISTIC ,THIS WOULD MEAN A FINISH OF AROUND 10TH.DIFFERENCE BETWEEN 10TH AND 17TH INPRIZE MONEY=ABOUT 6.3 M,AROUND ABOUT WHAT WE NEED FOR GYLFI?.....mmmm!
I`m sure Rogers and the club know the fans expectations have risen dramatically since our big wins and expect to break our transfer record again for Siggy if for around the £6m mark . Its all part of the next faze in the evolution of our club to become a long term fixture in the prem and one day maybe (and stranger things have happened) we get to the shangri la that is champions league ! I never knew that the higher ya finish the more money ya get . Regardless though , I think it's time to set the bar a little higher & sign Sig for what it takes , he just seems to be important to our game since his arrival . Buck deserves to feel like a big shot too ,with a big signing .
Just one thing why only 12 points i think we could get more with the games that we have left fulham 1 Everton 3 Spurs 1 Newcastle 3 Qpr 1 Wolves 3 Bolton 1-3 Blackburn 1 Manure 1 Liverpool 1 And a record of a 12 game beaten run that will amass 18 points and give us a total of 54
I think it's reasonable to conclude, that Rodgers is definitely targeting a top ten finish, now that we are safe. I have us possibly hitting 54 points when the Fat Lady sings, much to Norway's surprise, think he referred to me being very optimistic, but I don't see why not, our boys are getting to grips with the premiership now, and we have in my view a very good run in, so I can see why Rodgers has said there will be no foot of the gas, in these last 10 games. I hope that Dobbie figures some where, though it's looking very unlikely, and why we couldn't have let the lad have some football in the Championship, beggars belief. Dont remember ever saying that Dragon Anyway,54 pts is a hard target to reach but having said all that i had us down to finish the season with 36pts (and relegation) so what the **** do i know Havent seen you around much lately Dragon, hope all is good? must have been a long celebration after the Wigan and Man city games!

NJ: " what the **** do i know".......shall I ? Nah....too easy. I'm with you on the Dobbie front, Dragon but my argument is that if Rodgers isn't going to use him let him go - even if it's on loan. Seems disingenuous to me. As for final placings I said at the start of the season that I thought we'd just be inside the bottom half. 11th or 12th. I still think that but any higher would be fantastic - and well deserved imo.

maybe Mr D has seen the light and will have a run around in the reserves - he is still getting paid, sounds like a vendetta against him by BR though
As long as Dobbie's getting his chegue regularly , I'm not going to feel sorry for him . Frankly , when he started against the Spurs (think it was the Spurs ) , he was a disaster IMO .
