    As with Beth and her Cheese Thread (String?), I too have had a eureka moment, which just came out of the blue.....funny how that happens......

    So, may I ask the Very Learned Followers of Rollercoaster Ranger to contemplate the following?

    What do you think would be discovered if, inside a large hadron collider, we accelerated Joey Barton to just under the speed of light and collided him against the following (also travelling at close to the speed of light) what would the outcome be?.......

    1. Barton collides with Adel
    2. Barton collides with a Scouser at 4am
    3. Barton collides with his Mother
    4. Barton collides with............

    Feel free to propose other collision targets, and the result of the bombardment, in your responses.

    Your answers should stem from well researched, quantum physics-based studies please.

    No Hadron Collider could possibly be large enough to contain Joey and his ego.

    Joey would announce that he could get into any Hadron collider anywhere with his skill, stab the accelerating particle coming the other way in the eye with a cigar. Directly the newly formed Higgs boson appeared he would head butt it and threaten to take all the other Higgs Bosons out of the Hadron Collider with him went asked to leave and then go off with them to a gay bar in Liverpool

    I must admit to being slightly disappointed as I was hoping that this thread was a discussion starter on the Higgs Bosun particle (the so called God particle).

    The Higgs Boson particle walks into a church and the Priest says " I'm sorry, but we don't allow Higgs Bosons in here". The Higgs Boson replies " but why, without us, you can't have mass ".
