A rare but realistic quote from Steve Lansdown has said that the league need to punish Leeds United for the proven spying affair. I tend to agree that some kind of punishment needs to be meted out but what would hit them in the sorest spot, a points deduction or some other kinds of possibly meaningless sanctions?

We all know this has gone on mainly unnoticed, and certainly unpunished, over the years but how do you stop it and what would punishments achieve? The most effective in my books, and clearly Lansdown's, would be a points deduction because anything else would just be considered to be a minor slap on the wrists.

    Any thoughts out there?
