Hi lads, Toon fan in peace.

Firstly, hope you lads win the title... Class team, heritage and manager.

Reference Lambert... Is he really that good and will he fly in the premiership?

Finally, if you fancy some free loving rep... Head over to our rep brothel for a good seeing too.

He is a good old fashioned English forward.

We don't seem to have many big forwards like him about anymore.

He is the kind of player England need.

Strong and powerful, excellent dead ball specialist, and can head and control superbly.

An excellent all round player <ok>

Lambert is so much more than what he's made out to be (Some penalty taking big fella who can head the ball) His touch is superb, distribution brilliant, finishing top draw. The list really does go on. He will do just fine in the prem i assure you :)

Late shearer is a good shout after he'd lost most of his pace.

Late Shearer, yes. He plays and he scores, but he doesn't have a lot of pace.

You can add pace by having a good footballing brain. As Adkins said, Southampton have given him the environment to reach his potential. He's also great for team morale...what team wouldn't like to look round the dressing room and see him in the corner.

Surely not as good as Shearer. Best striker in my lifetime.

Yes, and not just a striker but as a play-maker too.

But if anyone asks with a view to buying him, please say that he's terrible as we don't want to lose him.

Obviously not AS good... well, Lambert is as good in the Championship as Shearer was in the Premiership.
