Listen thai, i don't want to fall out but your fans come on to our board and give us grief (and so they should because we are your local rivals) so the same will happen to you its just a case of whether you are man enough to take as much as you can give. you are not the top of the list of culprits, but its time for the ipswich fans to have a bit of a gloat at your expense, so stop being a big kid about it and take it on the chin!

with all due respect guru, you have absolutely no idea that will happen! even if we did lose two or three key players, the funds they generate would be vastly increased and could be given to any new manager to utilise. we are still in a strong position as long as we make the right appointment. oh, and if the premier league isn't the place to rebuild, what the hell is lambert going to do at villa???

Well, the truth is, going to Villa is a huge gamble for him. I am realist enough to know that Staying put was also a gamble. Next season will be tough for us whether Lambert is here or not. The momentum from our League one season which carried us through the championship and kept us going in the prem will be harder to maintain. The three promoted clubs this season all look decent, Certainly much better than those that went down! Villa are unlikely to be as bad as last year (particularly if they do get Lambert), Wigan showed very good form at the end of last year. QPR have money to burn on the summer and with Hughes there instead of Colin I can see them spending much more wisely. All in all, the leagu will be much more competitive.

I have little doubt we will survive, but it was still a gamble.

How will they be cherry picked? It's as though suddenly McNally will accept any offers in for them. Absolute no chance, David Fox may go but probably due to being out of contract, McNally will hold Villa ransom over Holt. Players knows just as well as fans do managers come and go and as long as they are contracted with Norwich I don't think McNally will accept any offer at all from Villa unless it's big money.

On the plus side.................trying to get some positives from this situation..................

Maybe we will see a more settled side and formation next season with a new gaffer! I for one would be happy to see that happen <ok>

well again, thats total nonsense isn't it. there is NO right place to rebuild in your world. the premier league is the place to be - any club who goes up has to rebuild - we had to - so please don't just spout crap. actually think about what you are typing because sometimes you make decent points but at the moment its garbage

All our best players are tied in contracts. McNally will have a big say on who goes until a new manager comes in then it will be up to them. I think the good thing about the squad Lambert built is that we are not over dependent on star names. there are not too many individuals that will attract a lot of attention. It is more about the sum of the parts than the parts themselves. I think the vast majority of our first team will still be here in august.

i think holt is more likely to stay now than leave. the pair didn't always see eye to eye! he might go but its the same with lambert - we move on and find our new heroes.

i do think fox will go with lambert though.

    Post of the day!
i came on here last night and said that i heard Lambert was frustrated and got loads of abuse. Norwich fans then invade the QPR board (on a Swans thread) and continued the abuse.
If you cannot take it dont give it out!

Thats enough now as i need to work <ok>

Fox leaving will be gutting to be fair, will have to wait and see about it all. To be honest extremely disappointed but looking forward to the new era now.

On another note, my comment that mentioned momentum, a fresh face (as long as it is the right one) might be ideal for us next season. It might actually be a way of maintaining that momentum for longer than Lambert could have...

Who knows. I for one am going to reserve my disapointment until 1) I know for definate he has gone & 2) I know who the replacement is.

There is a difference. Guru just talks bollocks, making out he knows exactly what will happen to Norwich in the coming months. Apparently WE WILL be relegated, WE WILL lose all our best players etc. Based on what exactly? Bugger all is what. Wumming for the sake of wumming <ok>

TBH Thai, if PL is off then thank him for his help, move on and get the best damn manager in that you can. Youre a Premier League side, must have some money to spend and if Wigan / Bolton / Blackburn could cling on as 'smaller' clubs all those years theres absolutely no reason why you can't.

They key is for your board to not panic and appoint a so called experienced manager (Bruce) who will spend £50m to get lower mid table.

Tricky part is this is 2 weeks before the Euros when many players / agents etc are elsewhere. You need to get new man in quickly with his backroom staff, select your key signings and get a decent pre-season. A player revolt now would be a nightmare.

Our season was wrecked by Flav & the Midget selling us a week before the season started. No continuity.

I'm sure you'll be fine and Lee Clark is surely the man you need
