As previously said the way they play is quite different, would have been good to see them both in the same team! If Tadic can continue his form into the harder spell of games, I'd agree he's better, but for now went for nothing between them.

Tadic for me, all day long. Great vision, great touch and a proper team player. Not a twat either

Looks like Lallana signed up and voted for himself.

What if Tadic leaves in the same way as Lallana in a few years time? You'll probably be calling him a t**t then.

Probably will if he leaves us like lallana did. He hasn't yet though so I still think he's great for now

he started so well, saying that we were a good club to join and not making it sound like more than an opportunity and a stepping stone.

he's started buttering us up though with the beautiful city thing, before we know it he'll be badge kissing and beard cultivating.

Just as long as he doesn't say things like... I would be happy to end my career with Southampton, and then get all agitated as soon as one of the glamour clubs comes calling, he can cultivate an entire hedge, for all I care. A little bit of honesty along with the buttering up is all I ask.

Shame we never got to see them in the same team. We could of had Tadic on the left and Lallana on the right.

Both very good players imo, but quite different even if they play a similar role. Like them both, but Tadic is wearing a Saints shirt at the moment so he is the one that i am most interested in. Will never forget Lallana's time with us, and his going was just part of modern professional football - its all in the past now.

That's possibly the best way to answer the question. No, I don't think they would start. Lallana maybe, on occasion, but at the present time, none of the three would be pencilled in. I don't even think Shaw or Chambers would either. Bertrand has far more end product than Shaw, at present, and is a perfectly competent defender, and we know which one we prefer in the Nat v Calum debate.

Chambers in the CB role challenging Fonte..? Do me a favour. Good backups, mind. :)

The weakness both have is that none are brilliant finishers. Lallana's got more skill, but Tadic has better vision. Tadic is a better passer and crosser, but Lallana probably did a bit more tracking back. Tadic just.

Tadic seems very happy to be a supplier which means he will get a lot of assists as he won't take shots if someone is in a better position. He will get goals though as he has a nice shot on him and he is our penalty taker....as he said (with a smile), I presume I am the penalty taker as they make me practice.

Reminds me that when my son went to the Arsenal game, he said how everyone cheered when Mane won the penalty, then all the fans looked at each other wondering who was going to take the pen and was there time to get Rickie back from Liverpool. :)

It was exactly like that ! We were all saying 'great we've got a pen - but who the heck is going to take it ! ' I said to my nipper - wheres Rickie when you need him. But then up stepped Dusan Tadic and seconds late we were all singing his name !

It was obvious Tadic would take the pen, he took all of Twente's.

Might have been obvious to you, but it certainly wasnt obvious to me nor to anybody else in our area that evening ! I know nothing about what Tadic did in his previous team, nor do i suspect do many of our other supporters who are not football or gaming nerds.
