Always knew the palace game would be a tough one. Plus brum playing in europe didn't help them.

Palace will be tough with pace in abundance, will be dangerous on the counter. Will have to have our wits about us in a game we really need to win to get us kick started again.

They looked very dangerous from set-pieces.

Good to see Brum slipping up though. Their automatic hopes are slowly fading by the week.

    Hope you're right!
Maybe we will have 6 or 7 in the first team like barça.

Apparently the next group and the groiup after that aren't too shabby either. That would be good to see.

The Palace game will be a tough one. Zaha and Scannell are both very quich, very skillful and very dangerous. I reckon they'll defend deep and tty to break on us so we will need to be a bit careful.

In my opinion the only problem with Saints at the moment as we dont have any real pace in the side!

We havent really had a quick pacey winger since Chamberlain got sold, Lallana is skillfull but not rapid quick. Steve DeRidder has some pace but manager doesnt seem to play him, definity should have come on for Guly last 20 mins of Pompey game though!

Whats everybodys thoughts? For me I think we need a quick right winger in January, maybe even get Puncheon back

We've lacked it for absolutely years since Chamberlain came along.

Puncheon aint that quick either. Pace can be deceptive, people start thinking a player is quick if he runs a lot or always gets to the ball first. Jon Forte has Usain Bolt on steroids pace, but he has the touch of a rapist and couldn't play his way out of a plastic bag. SDR looks like a world beater on youtube, but in reality, he doesn't do that consistently. Most very pacy players are the same. Careful what you wish for.

Matt phillips has both pace and skill, Adomah has pace and is hard to shrug off the ball. Anyone can look like a world beater on youtube <laugh> even alfonso alves <laugh>. So yeah I get what you mean.

The sprinter Darren Campbell played for Newport Isle of Wight football team. Lovely turn of speed, terrified the opposition...now if only he could have taken the ball with him:cheesy:

Phillips has pace, but not burning pace. Kids blessed with extraordinary pace and physicality from a young age often use that rather than ingenuity to get their own way and don't fully develop technically.

True like walcott has become just pace that's all, Arsenal ruined him tbh.
