Maybe its time for me to dig my old Patrick Keegan boots out of the cupboard and get down to Harlington...If I can convince Neil to go 4-3-3 with me Hulse and Bothroyd up front we could get a hatful..........

I wished we'd gone in for Andy Johnson now!

Goals will continue to be hard to come by unless we come across a team with a defence like Fulham played against yesterday.

Not yet time for the panic button bit when that comes I would try Taarabt up front alongside SWP in a 4-4-2 with the ball kept on the ground. Not ideal but we can't wait until January. The midfield (including Smith) can create plenty of opportunities. I know DJ has not really had a fair crack yet but my gut tells me that neither he nor Bothroyd really have what we need.

    Cardiff fan,

I can assure you Bothroyd can score goals at any level and some of his interplay is excellent. However, he does not put in a full shift every time and will certainly not put his body on the line when the chips are down. When the team are doing well play him but as soon as you are up against it substitute him. DJ never subbed him which cost us promotion last season.

I would not worry about one result with the players you have, not as if you will get relegated.

    Enjoy being there.

There's a hunger for goals and an urgency when Campbell plays, and when Mackie came on yesterday, but Bothroyd looks as if he's content just to be another cog in the engine

Trouble with 4-4-2 is where do you play Adel? Maybe 4-3-1-2 would be better with Adel behind Cambell and HH.

I have to agree with Goldhawk, when DJ comes on he looks hungry. Not sure where he is at fitness wise, but it might be a good idea to try him in the starting line up and use Bothroyd late on to see if he can turn things around (for his own confidence). Certainly was good to see Mackie come on and show that hunger and passion we saw last season.

I reckon Bothroyd's confidence is pretty shot as well. After a 0-6 we've got to shore up at the back first, and think NW will want to keep with the 4 2 3 1 rather than experiment now. Hope he leaves out Bothroyd and gives HH or DJ a go as the lone man up front, and plays Joey, Adel and SWP as the 3, with SWP wide right like in the Wolves game, and with Traore getting forward down the left flank, and getting some crosses in.
