Players should be in the team on merit/performances. Sadly Bruce has his favourites regardless of how badly they play.

Lascelles is ****. We should have got £30-40m for him under Rafa. Schar was also valued at £20m due to his form under Rafa. it seems Bruce is rapidly eroding player values through his ****e management. remember a managers job is to win football matches and his record is one of the ****test in PL history. visually he’s useless. statistically he’s useless.
I saw someone make a good point yesterday, he does absolutely nothing but side pass. I'd never noticed this until last night and now I **** myself whenever he's given the ball. He gets the ball, side passes it, moves into space, gets it back, side passes it. Even Mike Williamson moved the ball forward ffs, infact, Williamson was overall a far, far superior player. Lacelles is quite honestly one of the most useless players I've ever seen, his marking on Maguire for their first goal was an absolute disgrace to defending, he should be taken out back and shot. Unfortunately, our first fat useless sack of ****e decided to make him captain, now this second useless sack of ****e has kept him in the position. So this is a two manager 4 year plus screw job in the making. From two useless old ****s. If Lacelles was not the captain (who instantly tried to shift blame for his own **** up onto his teammates btw) Darlow would have ripped his ****ing head off for that marking. As he's captain he's untouchable. Send that **** to Sunderland, he's just about their level.
Unfortunately this entire argument falls flat, both of those players were younger when Rafa was around, Lascelles was really young in fact. That youth makes them a prospect and gives them a large next worth net to their name. See Sean Longstaff for 60M. The issue is that Rafa, not really knowing this players true capabilties decided to give him the captaincy, since receiving the armband Jamaal has become untouchable, he hasn't developed one iota from the player he was years ago. He has stagnated and became complacent. This is why it's traditional to give older, confident, experienced players the captaincy and not kids. Rafa Benitez is an experienced Champions League winner and I cannot believe he does not know this. So, for me, it's further evidence he didn't give a flying **** about Newcastle United. Bruce is just not good enough, but neither was Rafa. Sorry, that is a FACT.
You're blaming Rafa for Bruce carrying on with Lascelles? We had a much stronger (5 man) defence under Rafa so Lascelles ****ness didn't get noticed as much. Now that it does, Bruce still continues to pick him

He's useless.. He thinks he's good and keeps rushing out of position and fails to intercept every single time.. If he does get the ball he plays it to the keeper, hoofs it.. Sideways passes are actually his second train of thought from what I've seen.. The biggest issue is we'll never get rid of the ****er
I actually think he's worse than Taylor was, footballing wise. Probably equal when it comes to clapping, pointing, shouting and fistbumps though
