The fact every single player on Real Madrids bench would walk straight into Valencia's team says it all realy. To many players are happy to pick up massive wages sitting on Madrids bench, rather than playing week in week out for a lesser side, on smaller wages. Yet another example of why money is slowly destroying football:biggrin:

It's hardly a surprising gap considering the ridiculous imbalance in money distribution within La Liga.

The problem is that real madrid and barca get get half of la ligas tv money between them. Manchester united get about 1/20th of the premier leagues tv money. Says it all really.

"government statistics say Real Madrid have 13.2 million fans in Spain, while FC Barcelona have 10.4 million. Valencia are the third most popular team with 2.1 million supporters."

Spain has alot of plastic fans <laugh>

I remember reading that Blackpool received more money in the EPL the season they got relegated than Valencia did in La Liga for finishing third, yet Real and Barce received over double the amount of teams like Man Utd and Chelsea that season.

The TV money in the EPL is split evenly between all 20 clubs to ensure/protect competitiveness. Obviously finishing positions in the league get different prize money but that is a given.

Spain really needs to look at the current situation if they want to avoid being another SPL but I imagine it is too late now as Barca/Madrid are highly unlikely to agree to receiving 100 odd million less per season.

Pretty much. It is funny because Madrids revenue is 479m whereas other la liga clubs like almeria have a revenue of 20m <laugh> SO madrid are 25 times richer <laugh> What a joke league.

And that doesnt even include minnow clubs like levante and hercules

Wigan have a bigger revenue (and they are lowest in the epl) than Bilboa <laugh> And people love messi and ronaldo for scoring goals in these teams <laugh> Great players yes, but its also a complete joke league.
