Going by his last tweet ive a feeling we may not be seeing him in a norwich shirt beyond this season!

"Liverpool arsenal Aston villa.. 25days to go, had a great time in norwich and looking forward 2 the last few games.. Great support #FANS"

Might be reading to much into this but to me it doesnt sound to good :(

Maybe he's had such a great time he'll persuade 'arry (or whoever else might be in charge next year) to let him come back again <ok>

Seems strange that he hasn't played recently especially when his blatantly better then Russell Martin at Right Back.

I wouldn't read into the tweet too much. Lambert can't exactly say oh by the way I'm signing you at the end of the season Kyle, what if Spurs refuse to sell him or we haven't got enough cash? It would make all parties involved look stupid. Anyway I hope we sign him! We all know my opinion on the defence. Some people seem set on Gunter but I'll take Naughton any day of the week out of those two.

Yes, I wonder why RM is preferred to him, as I agree that KN's a much better player. Would love to see us sign him and I'm sure we could afford him if he were for sale, but expect he would want a higher ssalary than we're prepared to offer.

I think it depends really on who the Spurs manager will be. I don't even know if Redknapp wants to keep him or not. He has been top this season and would like to see us get him beyond this season, I am sure Lambert will be trying.

Well, to say Naughton is a much better player then Russell Martin isn't really fair. Rusty is a better defender just nowhere near as fast. I remember Lansbury saying how much he enjoyed his time at Norwich and then saying he chose West Ham over us for his next loan because 'they had better players!'

I think Russell Martin has been much better at centre back this season, I think he has struggled at right back probably due to the fact pacier wingers.

I didn't know Lansbury rejected us last summer?

A good reason to hope Redknapp doesn't become the next England manager?

Totally agree with that - he was excellent at CB and saved a few goals on his own against Arsenal, but I haven't been impressed with his RB performances.

I don't believe Lambert wanted Lansbury on a permanent deal, so that's probably why he spouted off that crap when he joined West Ham.

I don't know, but I think he probably sees Walkers great season and maybe see it in Naughton. Possibly. But I have no idea what Redknapp is thinking haha

I think you could argue he has been one of the best players to feature at centre half this season. I still think he'll improve next season at fullback, like most players in the team now that they know more about the league and know that they can compete in this league.

He stayed with arsenal to try and break into the first team got 1 sub appearance and I think wenger made it clear he wasn't in his plans so west ham took him on loan. I reckon we approached as a loan for him though as Lambert had really high praise for his character at the end of last season!

I thought the Lansbury thing was all down to money, West Ham willing to pay more towards his salary than us. As for Naughton would love to see him join, but he would be a top earner and may upset the balance.

Have to disagree with the first bit of this post. Pace is integral to the game now, and what is the evidence that Rusty is a better defender at least in the full back role, none

Our defence is a problem in general because we have conceded so many but to be honest, I cannot really put my finger on exactly what the problem is. Our defenders are all decent be it centre halves or full backs, it just hardly ever resuls in a clean sheet. A bit of a mystery really and one that must worry PL.

There's no doubting Naughton is the better player, but Rusty is better defensively. He doesn't pick up a yellow card every other match, his tackling is more precise and his positioning is always excellent hence why he is the first to clear every cross and block every shot on the line. I think that's why he excelled so much at CB because pace was no longer part of the equation. He isn't slow, just no where near as fast as most wingers!
